Hello, I am a premium user since 2012, for the main fact that I like supporting the anime industry, so that you may license more anime every season.
The problem I am having started after the Ddos attack, when Crunchyroll went back online. (I would like to point out that I am having no problems with the Crunchyroll on the computer.) The problem is that the Roku and PS3 app is having either a buffering problem or connection problem with the servers. Where when I wish to watch an anime series the episode starts, and plays between 2-5 minutes, then the episode will stop itself (I did not pause or stop the episode). After about 30 seconds, a gray screen pops-up with the attached message.
Roku The message says: Couldn't Play Video - Please check your connection/account and try again.
PS3 app will stop and say's video player error

I will also note that Funimation app and the Netflix app both work fine on the Roku AND PS3. Also like to mention that anime within the app, before Fall 2014 season, are experiencing the issues more. I haven't been able to watch a single episode without it stopping nearly a dozen times with the message popping up.
I have checked everything on my end, internet, etc. I have Comcast 95mbps, location Washington D.C./Maryland area, and everything works fine. I am not having any issues with anything outside of the Crunchyroll app on the Roku and PS3.
Any info will be helpful.

I'm having similar problems on iPad since the DDoS attack. Videos will constantly buffer, freeze while audio still plays, and skip ahead every 15-20 seconds

Same here... Getting the connection/account error on my Roku, but every other app I have works fine. I really hate paying for something that doesn't work. I'm giving it a few more days, and canceling my premium membership if if isn't fixed.

can't watch anything on this site. i use a Acer C720 chromebook that has adobe 16.0.0.235-r1 and shockwave Flash 16.0 r0 my internet provider is AT&T

i can watch any other streaming site just fine while playing large games like goodgame empire but i pull any video on this site by itself it crashes after playing the ad (if it gets that far) last night it took me 2 hours to watch 2 episodes of a 24min show. now i can't view anything. heck the forums crashed on me twice before i could get here.

my cookies and cache are cleared (did that 5 times) i have not run into this problem anywhere else on the web but here; and i mean ANYWHERE else

I'm in the same boat as a lot of users in this thread. I have 900 ways to watch Crunchyroll and all of them seem to have some sort of buffer issues/not playing at all/skipping/freezing/etc....Although I can watch via a browser on my computer and it seems to play fine.

For example, I wanted to watch the new episode of Sailor Moon Crystal this morning, and it wouldn't even load on 2 of my Apple TVs, my Xbox One, my iPhone, or my iPad. I then went and watched it on my desktop computer running windows and it played fine there.

I also agree that it seems to have happened after the DDoS attack that took the site down originally.

Any hope for a fix? Thanks in advance!

Any source that these problems are being addressed? I haven't seen any tweets or facebook posts confirming any of this, and as a paying customer, I have to admit that I'm annoyed that neither the iPad, PS4, or Wii U apps seem to be running properly.

An update would be nice. Same issues on PS4. SM Crystal wouldn't even start and the shows that do pause or go SD quite often.

Xbox works sometimes
Roku will play for 10 sec and quit
Mobile app won't load at all.

Haven't been able to watch more than 2 episodes in the past week and its getting extremely frustrating.

Had to resort to outside apps and websites in order to watch my shows.
Really hope this gets fixed quickly.

Getting the "Error 520" message alot all of a sudden. Don't know if this is still connected to the ddos attack the other day since it was working just fine till a few minutes ago after images and everything started working for me.

Yes. Was hoping to finish the Bleach anime before I start school again... but that's probably not happening now. Oh well. Darn those DDoS attackers!
