With the upcoming Anime of Digimon Tri.. It really got me thinking about Digimon in general and how popular it was when I was younger.

Did anyone else have a unhealthy obsession with it?

I remember playing Digimon World on the PS1... where you got sent to the Digital world and had to raise a little Digimon with the help of Jijimon who ran the village while you went off to recruit more.

In one of the first console simulation games, the only hero human in the digital world....seriously that game to this day remains awesome raising a little Digimon... then it needing a poo
but it couldn't make it to the toilet in time so digivolved into a damn Numemon >.<

Then there was Digimon World 3 (Because us Brits weren't good enough for Digimon world 2) which was like game where loads of humans were in the world, more like pokemon where events were triggered by running around unlike there first where you see everything.... I never played enough of that game was playing the first too much...

Ah Digimon Rumble Arena.... I HATE FIGHTING GAMES... I LOVED THIS! Says it all really, smashing Gabumon around the arena...

Did anyone else have the playing cards? I did.... no one else did.... my card phase kinda ended with that really...

The only card that ever got a use was my power up cards for my toy digivice... which really made no difference because any card would have worked... but I liked to use them all because of the POWER.

Seriously did anyone else have one of those ^? I was like the only one!

Wow that was some seriously good reminiscing.

They need to release Digimon World 1 and 3 on PSVita... with Trophies would play the hell out of that would like so good on a small screen!

Then of course the anime.... Digimon Adventures 1, Digimon Tamers, Digimon Adventures 2.. there order of my favourites... I never saw the rest.. but not going to watch Digimon Xros Wars on Crunchy as i found it it's on here.

Some of the areas of that show, the bus in the middle of the lake... these little images to this day that I still have in my head.. so many good memories of Digimon.

Did anyone else like any of that lol?

Yeh Digimon Tamers was the last one I watched. Going to try Xros, but hopefully Tri will go back to it's roots.

I guess it's really true what they say about childhood sticking with you.

Personally I can't understand the entertainment of watching people's wild pet morphing and battling, and evolving, etc.

I followed Digimon since the beginning, but after Frontier and with no new series following, I moved on. I tried Savers and Xros, but those didn't have the same feels as the previous series. Hopefully tri will bring me back to love it again.

You wouldn't believe how much of it I remember, If I started playing it again now, I would probably still remember where to go on the map to get to places.

One of the few franchises that I can recall vividly, obviously i watched and played lots of other thing, but Digimon is one of the few which stand out.

Xros was alright, not bad but not good either. Saviors and Frontier were also mediocre as well.

However hopefully Tri has the old feel but in a more up to date style, similar to what Ufotable did with Fate/Zero. The ret-cons are going to huge and the fanbase will be expecting a lot from the writers. So expectations are already high, I'm thinking if it doesn't click with people early I can see it flopping easily even if people love the series.

One thing to note: The original goggle-head got shafted that is all.

Whatever the earliest ones Netflix has are. Pretty sure for Pokemon at least it's the very very beginning.

The first 3 series are the best, I just watched the first 54 episodes of Xros Wars on Crunchyroll, it's ok, but they completly ignored powerlevels which annoyed me throughout.

I use to love the PS1 Digimon world game, I remember in the beginning getting newmamon that pooped everywhere .The highest level I ever trained was a Megaseadramon. II Also remember being in 8th grade and having a teacher try and confiscate my deck of Digimon trading card games. My favorite Combo was Izzy and Tentomon!
