Yea, crunchyroll is ddos protected and dns hosted through cloudflare and I think it's an error with cr sending out so many cookies.

Same here. Can't go to any series page without getting one of those 2 pages. I haven't seen anything in their Twitter page, so I'm not sure if they're aware or figuring out the issue.

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous right now for me too. For the last couple of hours I have been getting the 520 error from Cloudflare about 90% of the time I try to load any content from the Crunchyroll website (videos, forums, etc.). The only solution seems to be reloading constantly until the page finally comes up correctly. Even when I don't get the 520 error page, most of the time some content is just missing from the loaded page, such as the video or the comments.

Once a video is actually streaming, it seems to be unaffected by these problems -- which is to say, I haven't experienced performance problems streaming video beyond what I had come to expect from Crunchyroll prior to the DDoS and subsequent Cloudflare changes.

There seem to be stretches of time where there are few problems, and other stretches of time where these problems are so prevalent that it drives me crazy trying to do anything on the site. Hopefully this is just an integration (or load) problem between Cloudflare and Crunchyroll, and they'll get it all worked out soon? Regardless, it is very disturbing to see no official Crunchyroll comment acknowledging this serious performance issue.

As an example, it has taken me over 100 tries to post this forum reply. Absolutely ridiculous.

I place my money more on cloud flare being the cause of the 520 then it being a CR DDOS. I've found cloud flare to cause more problems then solve. I've seen sites that I never saw problems withs, switch to cloud flare for ddos protection and start getting these same problems. I've also been directed to completely wrong countries with cloud flares CND service (I'm in the US and I've been sent to euro for content by their cnd on many occasions).

That being said, if CR did not get new IP address for their servers before activating cloud flare they would still be open to ddos.
