I feel like screaming and killing something. Only Crunchyroll buffering has ever managed to develop this level of anxiety and anger in me, EVER. I own THREE Chromecast devices, and I have been a yearly premium subscription member for FIVE years. That's over 500 dollars in subscription fees Ive forked out to this company, and not once has their apps ever worked properly. Years ago, I spent 200 dollars on a Boxee Box JUST FOR CRUNCHYROLL, and they ABANDONED THE DEVICE. Once it stopped working, it never did again. Now that Ive moved to chromecast, at first, it buffered more than HD Porn on a dial up connection. After a month or two, it suddenly worked properly for a few months.

As of today, Chromecast app is WORSE than it was when it first came out. The video will play for a few minutes, then buffer indefinitely. Then when it does work for more than a few minutes, it will not buffer, but suddenly just STOP playing all together and take me back to the "ready to cast crunchyroll" on the tv. Ive tried resetting my router, using my tablet to control the app, using my phone, using the pc, using two different chromecast devices, and any combination of the above, and it took me 2 hours to watch ONE 47 minute episode. I don't know you guys, but that is not the kind of streaming service I pay 100 dollars a year for. I could just as easily pirate the hell out of everyshow, but I am huge anime supporter so i wanna support the industry and watch things the right way. Hell, I already own a lot bluray of stuff that crunchyroll has available for streaming. But just tell me. WHY. Why does Crunchyroll MAKE IT SO DAMN HARD on their customers to use their service? They need more money or something? Im wiling to pay 200 a year for my subscription. JUST MAKE IT WORK.

Ahem, now that I am done ranting, anyone experiencing similar issues? What can I possibly do to fix it? Does crunchyroll even read these forums?

I just found out about the DDoS attack. Is that the source of these problems? What kinda of POS type of hacker dare attack an anime community? THey ve got another thing coming. WHO DID THIS YOU DAMN HACKERS GIVE MY 2HOURS of RAGING BACK T_T

I am having the same problems on both Xbox One and PS4 tonight so it looks like it's a server issue

Same issues here. Before the DDoS attack, it worked flawlessly on the Chromecast. Now, for the past few days I can't get it to play anything more than 4-6 minutes before it stops the stream completely.

I'm also having trouble with my chromecast.
It either doesn't start saying there is an error with the stream or will just randomly stop and I have to start over.

The troubles aren't just with you all, I have been having issues with my chromecast as well.....first it would play and stop after a few minutes.....now it won't even cast.....keeps giving me a captcha code......wtf?......if i am logged in to my account why the hell would it captcha my chromecast? Can't watch shows on TV.....Very upsetting.......I wish they would get this fixed.

I'm experiencing the same issue with Chromecast. It plays for a few minutes, then stops completely without even trying to buffer. I was psyched to try Crunchyroll on a guest pass and was planning to go ahead and subscribe but I really want Chromecast to work well before I take the plunge.

Chromecast buffering has been terrible for me too. Just tested the smart TV app and it's working fine on the same TV. Both have same wireless strength.

This buffering issue seems to be getting worse.

I'm having a similar problem. When chromecasting it will stop after 5-10 minutes. Once that happens crunchyroll is not usable by chromecast. However, I am still able to watch crunchyroll just fine from my iphone.

I just got a premium trial because I saw chromecast support and I have to say, it's laughable at best. It plays for about 5~10 minutes before buffering the first time, then about 5 minutes per buffering cycle, then at about 5 more minutes it just crashes out, sometimes in an unresumeable state where I need to clear disconnect, clear the application cache, and restart from scratch.

This is literally a deal breaker for me continuing with a membership post-trial period.

Thank god I'm not the only one. I thought I was going crazy. My chromecast kicks off every 5 minutes or so and I have to restart the stream. Really annoying. I wasn't sure if it was because I recently updated my phone to lollipop or not. It used to be solid.

I can't watch anything nemore... every few minutes videos will stop and go back to the 'Ready to Cast' screen. Only started happening a few days ago or so. Can't be my internet because every other app (Viki, Twitch) casts just fine. Ridiculous...
