Excuses for poor quality service are not acceptable. This seems to happen all too often. I know the cost I'm paying is rather small, but to be unable to use the service half the time? There should be something that these people offer to make up for loss of service. Free months or a refund at the very least. I don't understand why I should accept this lack of response and poor quality just because it's an on-line service. FIX IT or refund me for the last two and a half years of frustration.

Also having the same issues. Both on PS3 and PS4. Playback will jump ahead in a random fashion, several times in one episode. It will occasionally freeze, and if I try to rewind back and play over the portions I missed, it will usually skip again in the same way. I have had a few instances where I can view the content that I missed, but mostly it skips over it, or freezes, or both. I also don't remember having this issue prior to the DDoS attacks I've heard so much about. It can't be my service because Netflix and other streaming apps work without any hitches at all. Any chance we'll get a bug fix soon?

I'm having this problem on PS4, but I have noticed that it's not one type of program new or old (hunterxhunter is really bad for me). The biggest thing I've noticed is that there are certain times throughout the day when it will start to skip or freeze more, I think that they are still trying to recover from the DDOS, but not just CR but also PSN. That is something you guys need to remember, with a computer it's going straight to the CR servers, but with the app on PS3/4 it has to go to Sony as well, that's why if something is happening there you can't use the feature. The only thing to do now is to just be patient and wait for CR techs along with Sony techs to recover from this attack.

Jbinion I can understand your frustration with the service at some times, however the company does its best to maintain our service along with keeping everything up to date. As for comping you in some way, they do that when aces to the app is hindered for a significant period of time. Sometime 2 years ago they had a long period in which no services could be used, so they gave us credit to use in their store.

I think the biggest problem is the choice of upstream provider for their service.

I don't want them to comp me or make up for lost service. I want the damned service to work. PS3 and iPad both still do not stream. WTF!!

Unless it has changed in the past year or so, Limelight Networks handles the one for the devices (which seems to be where all the problems are being reported), and Akamai handles the Flash streams for the web browser player.

Everyone chill out the fact that you're using the app on the ps4 means you can watch it on a computer so just suck it up and deal with it. Nobody can complain if it works on that, I mean after all I've been waiting 3 weeks for my order I placed to ship from them, and they won't reply to my email I sent (twice) to support so they must be swamped. The fact that they haven't said anything means they're working on it as we speak.

Your message didn't imply that. You said "....the choice of upstream provider for their service". If you had said, "...the choice of one their upstream providers for their service", then yes, it would have been clear.

I also don't know you personally, and I don't have a memory of every message you've read, so I'm puzzled how I was supposed to know you already knew that, based on your post.

So the app is freezing and skipping up on me, rewinding videos confuses the hell out of it and there is sometimes a drop off in quality. I'm running a 54mbit setup and I'm using my PS3 over wi-fi. I use Netflix just fine on my PS3 so I think the problems on Crunchyroll's end. As much as I like supporting Japanese creators with my money, I try not to support broken services with my money as it gives the wrong impression to them. So I'll likely drop my sub if it doesn't get resolved.
