Yes, because as a gamer I cannot let the challenge of death dissuade me, it is a game that would require beating. But I can see myself becoming very grindy and overly careful.

Not no but hell no, well at least not before I make some hardware modifications (and possibly firmware if I have to spoof the deadly components)

In the end it is a game, and there WILL be exploits. No way I will put my life on the line with those douchenozzles out there.

I've never really thought about it before.
Understanding that there is a huge chance I would die, it would seem foolish. That being said the attraction to the virtual reality would be too great, furthermore if all my friends logged on then at least if I were to die, it would be defending and fighting alongside them.
So..

I would probably not take the chances and just wait until the problem gets solved. So my answer is no, not going to the SAO world and staying in the real world.

Yes, because even if I was gonna die I would be around lots of people who have lots in common with me and I would probably get along with people pretty well.

Hell NO. Your bodies are still in the real world; you just add more burdens to the families. If you live alone, you are dead in 1 week without dying in a game.

Maybe not quite that fast, but dehydration does go pretty fast and is the most likely candidate.

May be not in a week, but my point still stands. Their bodies would die before they reach high levels or get to know someone long enough to call them friends.

It's just laughable when many people call this just escape to another reality.

No, not for SAO. The game world and genre doesn't interest me enough to push me into even buying the game. Besides, I don't want to put my family into the Poor House via hospital bills, and the high likelihood of close family being the ones to find my rotting corpse isn't worth it, as well. I don't want to give anyone graphic nightmares.

I'm all for being entirely sucked into cool game/anime/book/manga/manhua worlds, but not the prospect of only my mind being taken.

yes. and I don't know whats taking them so long to make. Oculus rift maybe almost there?
Sony has a couple of VR modules too as well as other companies trying to develop this technology. I wish they would all put their money and minds together and team on on the project.
