The majority of those who said, "yes" are liars... It will seem exiting and the promise of adventure may seem great, but then reality will set in, you'll be confronted with a few realizations. 1) What if after all of the hype, the game sucked? You'd be stuck in a sucky game. 2) What if you get killed on your first day? 3) What will you do with your life if you do survive and come out with mental issues?

It may be possible that a few may want to go in despite these realizations, but why? You can't save anyone, and you only add to the burden of the real world to support your real bodies while you gamble on losing your life. The government will likely hand you the bill for your medical care while you were in there. There have been situations when authorities would warn the public to stay out of an area. Some adventurer would go anyway, get in trouble, get rescued, and then get the bill for the rescue, as well as a big fine. And that would be you - getting the big-assed medical bill, and the fine.

Sorry. I had go and bring real life into this....

Definite nope.
I'd rather be uncomfortable in my own world than in a death trap RPG.

That's what makes it baka .__. characters still log on even if they can die. They have absolutely nothing else to live for...

So yeah I'd walk away, but not for only that reason.. I'm crappy at games so I know I'd die first second I log on >.>

Well since I don't even fear death or have any attachments to anyone or anything, I would much rather live out my final days in a game that I love rather than this shitty world. There is absolutely no downside to it.

What's SAO?

*Google*

Oh, Sword Art Online. I still need to watch that show. I might after YuruYuri.

After I watch SAO, then I'll come back with a proper answer.

Someone will have to change your diapers and sponge wipe you- probably not a pleasant thought, but who cares? You're in lala-land and with any luck you'll die there so you won't have to come back to the real world. Maybe your family will join a class action law suit against the makers of the game and will win some compensation that will more than cover your medical expenses.

Depending on your condition, your family may decide to euthanize you by removing the feeding tubes. Since this is the world of SAO, perhaps euthanasia would really be for the best since your real world body would be in constant danger of being raped.

Even if you don't think your real world body has any chance of being raped, there's the possibility that someone would be performing direct experiments on your brain to see if they can change your memories, your personality, and who knows what else. That's right- in the world of SAO, someone might try to rape your brain while you're stuck in the death trap game.

The family will lose the lawsuit, because the player entered SAO game world voluntarily, fully knowing the dangers. The gamer was warned and refused to comply with advice against logging on. The family will be stuck, not only with medical but, with legal bills.

You don't need to watch SAO to understand the concept. It's virtual reality, where you are stuck till you clear the game, and you die in real life if you die ingame, whether it is a pk or monster.

I would. Not because it's Sword Art Online. Because life or death is the simplest question. Do I want to live? Then I would be a very small part of the large force on the front lines battling to beat the game to free all the other people that aren't good enough to actually understand the concept of one single life risk. If no smart player joins, then more people will die.

Also, what is up with the raping comment in some previous posts? Did you watch Kill Bill or something? I've personally never heard of raping in hospitals.
