I am leaving a message here in hope that someone from CR will contact me.

I submitted an official request for billing help through the normal process two days ago, but have yet to hear from CR customer service.

Monthly membership was working over the last 6 months, but on the January 1, the usual credit card payment did not go through. The credit card info is correct.

I tried upgrading to an annual membership instead of the monthyly, better price, but I keep getting a message that I do not qualify for the free trial membership (which I don't want or need). After that the transaction fails again. So far I can confirm there are no recent charges in January from the CR payment billing system to my credit card.

I would like to renew my membership, but given the lack of response from CR an limited access to the anime I may just walk away.

If you are looking for an Anime membership, try this link:

If you want All Access instead, use this one:
http://www.crunchyroll.com/premium_pick_plan?membership=combo

Those links skip over the free trial, which at least gets you around that problem.


You may also want to check your membership history and see if there is anything problematic there.

I tried the first link for the anime annual membership, same result. Payment does not process.
The credit card is good as I used it yesterday for purchases. Something in the CR billing/payment system is wonky.

In my credit history, everything is fine until the end of December when the payment is not processed.

For order history all it say is Payment Error

The automatic email I got for my billing support request said they would get back to Premium Members within 2 days, but as my membership expired due to the payment problem I expect that my request is at the bottom of some pile.

Try Contacting your local bank or Credit Card company.

when i first signed up for CR my bank declined payment to CR. i had to go to my bank and confirm that it was an Authorized Transaction before they would make the payment.

Since you already made a payment it might be they have blocked it since.

my bank blocked Netflix and Steam after i had been using them for years. once again had to make a trip to bank to fix.

Since I'm not staff (or even a moderator), I can't do anything to fix the problem, but I can send you a guest pass to tide you over for a couple more days. If you want that, just let me know.

Thanks for the offer, but shinryou has fixed it so I could set up a membership with the 2 week trial with a VISA credit card. Did CR remove AMEX from the list of accepted credit cards?

I noticed in my payment history that the August 2014 payment was C$6.96 and then in September was changed to US$6.95 until there was a problem with the January 2015 payment. I think this was related to the AMEX credit card as I recall changing the payment option in September.

I updated my preferred membership to C$59.95 Yearly, so hopefully it will continue without any further problems.
