As I have gotten older and moved away from my hometown, I have lost contact with many of my friends because we all have our own lives. During grad school I talk to my classmates but most of them have lives of their own also. As i get older it is harder to make and keep true friends however I am the happiest I have ever been despite of it

Feel you there. It is hard to keep up with everyone once college graduation is over! Let's see, I have kept up with 5 of my peeps out of the 10-15 I had. 2 best friends 1 broseph and 2 other casual friends that I trust. All them other peeps are just that, peeps, wouldn't bother attending their funeral.

Oldest friend I have had since I was 5, the closest was the one I met in 7th grade. All you young people invest in your friends wisely. Most friends you will lose, but invest in the right ones and you'll always have someone that has your back.

heeeyyy you and me both! My grad school is online though so i don't interact with them face to face =/ Moving to Toledo this summer killed my social life, but luckily I got my best friend a position up here with me so that has made things much better!

I have 4-5 whom I consider friends. But out of those I hung out with 2 of them quite regularly.

I have a shit load of acquaintances yet only a very small few that I would consider my 'friend' at the top of my head probably 4 friends while I have like 50+ acquaintances or whatever.

I'm not in contact with any of the friends I had 10 or so years ago. That means I have no existing friendships with childhood friends or even college friends.

I'm also slowly losing a lot of my more current friendships.

I'm not overly worried or concerned about it, and never really was. I can kinda function pretty well on my own and it's not that hard to strike up a conversation or make friends. The easiest way is to repeatedly show up at a local hangout and just wait for people to decide to talk to you or reach out and join a discussion. (coffee shops are the best spot for this really.)

Friends come and go. People enter your life and exist. you enter and exist others lives as well. The interesting thing is that the greater conversation doesn't ever really stop. It evolves, and your opinions evolve in a way, but in and of itself, it just... continues... as long as you continue to have it.

The hardest thing is holding on to friendships or connections imply for the sake of maintaining those connections. If this happens, it's usually a good sign to move on. (struggle a lot with that when it comes to family)

Right now, I'm kind of dealing with an existential crisis as well as rough patches with friends and one kind of mirrors the other. Because of society as a whole changing, certain discussions and attitudes are becoming strained as we take different sides. Different changes in our lives and roles is also causing stress. Overall I'm unsure where things will be in the coming year or two.

I have childhood friends on facebook I almost never talk to, other than that I have 0, I have a hard time keeping friends because I am easily overwhelmed with friends that want to hang out all the time and come to my house and stuff.

I am proud to say that I have quite a lot of friends. I don't really care to keep count of how many. I see them weekly in different groups.

Hmmm. Really thinking about it, I don't really have any anymore. I'm what you might refer to as a deep introvert. I don't really go out much (only for work & a few classes) and I don't really ever feel the need to. Sure it would probably be nice to have a couple good friends to share stuff with, but I just don't really have the endurance to try to keep a long-standing relationship like that nor any real willpower to seek it out. It's not like I find it difficult talking to people or keeping a conversation, I just find it tiring. Not really a "normal" stance on the subject, I know.

Many friends online and offline, 5 very best friends offline. And of that five is the ultimate--the Madoka of the five of them. ^_^
