Well Haikyuu is one of my favorite anime ever, so yeah. I haven't seen Ippo yet, but I do feel like that one might be able to beat Haikyuu. I also want to watch some older ones like Ashita no Joe and Musashi no Ken.

I don't watch much sports anime, to be honest, but have taken to it recently because it's a great motivator when exercising. I watch anime on my iPad when working out (on a NordicTrak).

I've watched Days, and am just a few episodes into Haikyu as my workout anime. Days was OK. They seemed to only have enough story for one season, the second season was really repetitive and didn't do much. Animation was pretty good throughout, besides over reliance on limited animation the last few episodes. Haikyu so far is better than Days, much more character driven, but I'm a bit on the fence at the moment about it. Days left me a bit burnt out on sports anime, so I'm taking a little break and rewatching some Durarara during my workout.I'll likely return to Haikyu in a few days.

Aside from those, I absolutely adored Yuri!!! On Ice, it's moved onto my all time favorites list. I also watched Free! and enjoyed it, even if it was a fanservice overldose. My husband barely made it through, Haru's constant moping was really annoying him, and he began to see the entire series as queerbaiting. I rewatched Free! a couple months ago while working out, liked it a little better the second time through.

Yuri on Ice and Kuroko no Basket.

I also really like Haikyuu (on my third -not less important- place), Yowamushi Pedal and FREE, but these firsts... are my favorites.

mmmm

This is a difficult one .

I would say the best team sports anime from the past 3 years , I would say Haikyu !!

Becuase of the characters writing , the animation adaptation of the action sequence and pacing of story , the music.
