I'm okay with them, but I wish their animes were more accessible! They often only offer one or two seasons when their stuff is on Netflix. Since I already pay for both Netflix and Crunchyroll, I don't feel like registering to a third streaming network as well. Luckily, I have some friends who let me use their account, but if it weren't for that, I would probably get very few chances to watch any of their series. >.<

That's why I have a problem with the current monopolies. It's either Funi or Aniplex. That's about it. CR is not a big enough player in the game to pull off being a part of the big leagues, but it's small enough to have an impact. Theoretically, with more players in the game, there'd be more competition, and theoretically, lower prices and better access.

BUT, on the flip side, more competitors will only come about from greater demand, which in turn raises prices. Pirating is kind of the third arm of economics, and due to them, these companies are forced to stream to out compete the "free" bootlegged products, and also have to maintain a higher quality than this "other competitor" which decrease their value. (but then that hurts, theoretically creators and the employees).

All in all, it's just fascinating to watch from an economic standpoint. Personally, I feel that copyrights need to be weakened, and more emphasis put on providing actual products and/or labor, but it's interesting to see how it all plays out in the anime industry.

When it comes to streaming, they're 'OKAY' but nothing great. When it comes to buying their physical copies of anime, I love them!

I despise Funi and their business model. Crunchy at least you can watch free later with ads. Funi as far as I can tell you can't even do that. Their app sucks with many bugs.. Also, It's one hundred percent geared to you buying their bad dubbing. Because they license stuff, you have to buy their bad dubs when all you really want is it subbed.

I also hate how certain anime they actually ADD in censoring on their own! It's not even in the original broadcast, and they change it. For a service you are paying for! All so you nice again, but their blu-Ray.

I hate to bash on anyone who brings anime to the market. I want everyone to love this as much as I do. But all I think is they are squatting on the market to where someone who could really do it right is getting squeezed out.

I'm sticking to Crunchyroll and a few other sites that legally stream anime. Funimation is a piece of crap, tbh.

I'm mostly annoyed with them since their player thinks I'm from a different country so all the videos say "not available in your region" >.> after several emails asking about this problem I canceled my membership and moved here.

I hate FUNi. All they really do is license fan-service shit for guys anyway, so I don't miss much. The only thing that peeves me out now that they're starting to license shows aimed at women too.

I can only afford CR's subscription anyway, but it's not like I'd pay for FUNi's. They barely get any selection and their website is just so annoying.

They are ok I guess

Competition is healthy, in the long run. It forces rivals to step up their game and make better their product, so from a certain point of view their business is benign.

Really only like them for One Piece (Even if they are years behind), AoT, and DBZ (Thank you Funimation for the Dragon Boxes : D).

I like how Funimation allows dvds and things of that sort. But being a premium member here and maybe a couple small communities of anime, then Funimation kinda punishes your community because they take licenses of many great anime and do not allow your community the streaming rights. And it very much seems that way on quite a bit of the winter 2015 line up or past really good anime.

It is back and forth.. as long as I can find what I would like to watch I don't care either way. Plus, sometimes I quite enjoy the laziness of having things dubbed once in a while.
