So first when i made an account, i had HD on the anime I was watching. But the next day i tried to watch, i didn't have HD. It just disappeared. Anyone else that had/have this problem?

You are showing as a Normal user from what I see.

Did you start and then cancel a trial premium membership? If you cancel a trial membership, the benefits are cancelled immediately.

No. The only thing i did was after i created my account, i could watch in HD. The next day, I couldn't. I didn't even sign up for the free trial. So I have no idea what happend.

I was under the assumption that canceling the trial only prevented it from charging you at the end of the trail period. Didn't realize it ended right away :x

It may have been an error caused by the DDoS mess.

Nope, since you're essentially saying "I have decided not to pay for this service that I have tried."

could it have been that when you signed up they were still offereing HD to all users for a limited time to compensate us for the trouble caused by the DDOS attack? That ended with the weekend so if you created the account over the weekend and then got on today that might explain it! Yeah, that must be it. I signed up to crunchyroll on sunday (2 days ago). So i guess it ended monday. Ty for the help

Was it a first episode of a series? Sometimes they leave those open for all resolutions so you can see what you're missing...

At this point, I'm gonna say it was a hiccup restitution from the recent DDos outages, and HD finally went away now that they seem to have the problem in hand. Earlier there was this announcement: /forumtopic-881949/crunchyroll-site-update-and-special-info-for-our-users which included this statement. Perhaps, they had extended the HD without announcing it because the problem actually took longer to solve than they expected it to.

For our free users ~ you will have access to videos in HD on the site from now through the New Years weekend. You need to login or signup for a free account, and after that, you should be able to access any video available to free users in up to 1080p quality.

Anyway, that's my guess and I'm going with that unless one of the staff says otherwise. So at this point, to get HD again you would need to get a sub, I think.
