No, I don't share glasses, unless someone I'm on really good terms with asks. I do, however, like to try my mother's glasses. I'm near-sighted, but she's far-sighted. Have you ever put on a far-sighted person's glasses? It's pretty cool. If the prescription is strong enough, the floor and other objects sort of come at you, so it's like moving through holograms. As a kid, it used to be one of my favorite games. No, I haven't gotten nauseous from it, but I'm also strongly resistant to motion sickness and whatnot.

I can't see six inches from my face or further without the glasses.

I wear my friends glasses all the time. When I put on my one friend's glasses I swear I see a little clearer.. But I'm sure I've 20/20 vision.

I wear glasses and I prefer my own over others. Do I allow people to borrow them? No because I'm self conscious of the oil on my face that attracts to me glasses. My "friends" would always steal my glasses so they could see better or whatever. Really really annoyed me.

If I wore glasses, I wouldn't let anyone touch them. I like to annoy my younger brother and occasionally my friend though about it XD Apparently, I'm ugly with glasses haha.

Well, when I first started wearing glasses and my friends started being annoying about wanting to wear them, at first I let them. I even had a classmate who would just take them off my face without asking. Because that sure wasn't annoying as hell.

Well, once one of the arms got bent I stopped letting people pointlessly take my glasses. If someone were to ask me now I imagine my response would more or less be "Fuck off." Probably a little less hostile, though... Marinally less hostile.

Your counselor's solution to being depressed is you need a girlfriend?

Yeah, that's pretty much how I feel, more or less.
But that doesn't stop people from continuing to try/take my glasses...

Be glad you've never met my counselor before...

I've got specs too but I don't share. Bro once took it off and tried it one. He complained that it just looked like plain glass to him. He's worn glasses since his teens. I only got them in adulthood and both bro and a friend complained they're too light or not strong enough. I checked bro's own. It hurt my eyes just to look at those lenses, too thick and weird. It suits me fine. I don't wear contacts because allergic reactions also affect my eyes regularly. Last time I went for my routine check up eye test they said the eyes improved so I had to go back to an earlier prescription I just thought eyes stay the same or get worse not better.

I don't mind letting other people try on my glasses, at least when I can trust them not to break anything.
What I do mind is them inevitably asking me how they look with them and then getting annoyed over my reply.
Granted, "really damn blurry" may not be the description they wanted but they are wearing the nearsighted guy's specs.

When looking through my glasses distorts everything for them, what did they expect how my vision was without them?

I've learned this the hard way, but once you figure it out, It'll feel like a great weight has lifted off your shoulders

You have to choose to be happy

here's another quote that's good too:

I personally would never share my glasses with someone else.
Unless we're taking a photo or something.

I don't really care, but if someone wants to try my glasses I have to warn them that they are pretty strong and would hurt their eyes.

I have no problems letting someone wear my glasses.

It does piss me off when they look at me and say "Wow you really are blind." Seriously, you don't effing say - I didn't realize why I needed them until now, since you've explained to me that I have a visual impairment.

I let people try them, not that anyone can see anything through them though; I have terrible eyes and a really strong prescription.
