Post Reply Sharing Glasses
Posted 1/7/15
I'm not forced to wear my glasses 24/7, so I don't mind if people want to try them on.

Yeah, well when I was in school people usually just take it form my face to try it out. Rude

now that I think about it, people in high school were so shameless... and immature. they'll do anything without asking. like one day, someone wedgie'd me... but luckily that day I was wearing underwear... (I usually go to school commando...) I wonder what would happen if I didn't wear anything...

omg my clay mask is hurting because I can't laugh. WTth????

here's another quote that's good too:

What does this have anything to do with sharing glasses?

Never ever. I have very bad eye sight and strong prescription so at this point, my glasses are my windows to the world. They are sacred and must be protected. Then again I don't really like sharing much in the first place.

I've never really let anyone try on my glasses before but that's because no one's ever asked. I don't think I'd really care if they did though.

The problem is, insofar as prescription lens go, each pair is customized to the individual, and thus, usually won't match another person's specifications. In other words, trying on someone else's glasses can make you hella dizzy if the lens are too strong or be completely ineffective if the lenses are too weak for your personal line of sight.

No, I'm not comfortable with it because I literally need my glasses. So if I were to let someone wear my glasses, there's some things to point out...

1) My vision is -8.00
2) If I didn't have my glasses, I need things to be like what.. 4-5 inches close to my face to see it clearly?
3) You'd get a massive headache, straining your eyes hella bad
4) My lens are so thick, that my frames are heavy = uncomfortable for some people

The hell?
To me glasses are a necessary accessory
I need them to see clearly but I'm not gonna freak if someone wants to try them on.

if you mean sunglasses, i have no problems sharing.
if you mean actual glasses, that seems pointless. the other person likely doesn't have the same eye focal point or something, so even if you lend them your glasses (assuming you wear one), they'd most likely see everything blurred.
