Well you certainly have a pretty strict definition of what uplifting music is. Basically, good uplifting music puts me in a happy mood for one of two reasons: firstly, it's a song that just has a certain ambiance or beat that makes me just a bit more chipper and/or secondly, it's a tune that I've known and loved for a long time and will always make me happy when I hear it.

Hmm, a few upbeat ones of mine.

Instant Music - The Pillows
Kiri - Monoral
Hot No Ho - The Lions
Wallflower Blues - Somi
New World Symphony : Second Movement - Largo - Antonín Dvořák

And here's a few more mellow tracks that still make me all warm and fuzzy whenever I listen to them.

Let Down - Radiohead
El Toro - Bonobo
The Way the Lazy Do - Dr. Dog
Gravity - Lusine
That's the Way - Led Zeppelin
