Any reason why shows over the past week or two are taking an incredibly long time to "prepare the show for the device"?

I just want to know what's up with it. I pay premium, I've cancelled a couple of times because of server and buffering issues that still aren't solved and the only way I can watch anime from CR without stuttering is by using my phone... So what is going on with this problem. On my amazing PC and good internet connection SD, 480, 720 and 1080 all skip and stutter. To not be able to watch new releases on my phone, the only part of CR that actually works for me, is very frustrating.

Which specific episodes?

The apps and Flash player use different content delivery networks to transport videos, so it's not unusual that you're experience performance differences between the website and phone app.

Every single episode released within a week. I've tried opening the newwest episodes of all the most current simulcasts... Military through parasyte to yona of the dawn, every single one of them. I live in Canada. Also another thing I don't get, why can't I pause a video and let it load without it automatically stopping after 5 minutes and me having to refresh the entire page to get it going again? If this were possible I wouldn't have to watch them on my phone and I could actually get my money's worth by watching the anime in true HD rather than in phone 480P. Honestly I'm about to cancel again and just use torrents.

The player only buffers a very small amount of content, and that's a conscious decision as part of CR's anti-piracy measures.

Oh so it's to stop the flv grabbers?? Ok that makes sense, but it really only punishes the paying customer. There are many ways around that. Full screen capture being one of them. I never knew that was why YT and CR done this, so pointless. Kind of like DRM on video games.

Offhand, I can't think of any DRM that doesn't in some manner.

Unfortunately, as long as the licensors insist on it, CR has to do it if they expect to license any content. Back in few seasons when NicoNico.com was in operation here in the US, not all of their videos were protected, but I don't know if that was by design or mistake.

So basically CR is broken for me. And me alone. Are there no other topics like this? Obviously CR doesn't care about my subscription by the looks of things.. ok well rather than complain and natter on, I'm just going to cancel, explain why and how the service I'm paying for isn't being deliviered and DL torrents from now on. Convenience outweighed by bogusness. Bye bye, CR.
