Last night I completed BTOOOM!, but I didn't get that one achievement that denotes that you completed an anime series. I watched all the episodes, and they're all filled up (orange progress bars below an episode in the queue), yet I didn't get that achievement.

Does anyone else have this problem now and then?

Some of you are probably thinking I shouldn't make a huge deal about this, and you might be right....but something which denotes that I completed an anime series is spiffy to me, and it feels baffling when I don't get something to denote that I finished an anime.
I got an achievement for finishing WataMote, Kill La Kill, and Attack on Titan (first 13 episodes in early December, though), though they're not showing since they were from last month or so. Crunchyroll ought to fix that, but for now, I'm curious about why there isn't an achievement after I finished BTOOOM!. Was it because I finished it via my PS4 app?

I look forward to any and all responses.

All episodes in the same calendar month, all in a web browser player, otherwise they don't count.

So if I watch a whole anime series from an app besides on my computer, it won't count?

If I may be so bold to ask......why is that? Aside from being convenient, it almost defeats the purpose of watching Crunchyroll from my PS4.

I don't think it's on purpose... I think it's just a leftover from the early days from before there were apps. Since the achievement system came before that, it was probably not a priority to change it as each new app got added.

I also notice that we no longer get "Frequent Visitor" or "You can depend on me" achievements, so my guess would be that the rest will eventually go away as well, or even more likely just be left alone as artifacts. They weren't permanent, in any case; every Jan 1 the whole history would get reset to nothing.

Personally, I'd rather see something more permanent like a badge instead of an achievement anyway, something like "completed 25", "completed 50", "Completed 100", completed "200", etc. That to me would make more sense.

Oh, I see.

Achievements are nice and all, but a little logging system of sorts would be nice; if I completed an anime, it would be listed as having been completed. If I wanted to re-watch the series again I could, but an icon of some kind denoting that I completed it would be helpful.....if, in the unlikely event, that I have some kind of memory loss and forget if I ever did complete an anime.
Man I feel tempted to propose some concepts for a "series completion icon", though I shouldn't get my hopes up too high if I submit any concepts. They'd be images, in case you're wondering.....maybe of a star or something.

Until then, maybe I should keep completed animes in my queue, but place them at the bottom.

Well that might get kind of full after awhile, even to the point of being, dare I say, unmanageable...there are close to 500 series here.

But I would humbly offer a "backdoor" way to keep track of what series you watched...My /group/Rotten_Sushi pages cover everything that is here (US-centric licenses only, unfortunately) and there is an associated CR poll object for each show. If you rate each show you have watched with the poll, the site remembers how you voted and the next time you visit a page with the poll on it it shows you how you voted. If you haven't voted yet, it has the choices and a "Vote" button instead. So just by going through the alpha indexes, you can see what you have watched and what you didn't.

Have a look at Letter A for example...Here's a screenshot snippet that shows one show not rated and one show that was rated:

Your own vote will be colored in orange and the ones you didn't choose will be in green.
