So just a bit ago there were two of them spamming away in the forums. I don't actually see them very often so I don't know how big of a problem they really are but I was wondering if it was possible to deter them by limiting the number of posts a new user can make in a single day. Maybe make it limited until a certain number of CR points have been earned just like how you couldn't/can't make a thread unless you had/have 500 CR points. It would be a bit restrictive for those who genuinely want to join the community but it, or a requirement with a similar effect, might help out a bit for when they show up. Don't know how possible it is but was just wondering. Not sure I should have even made this topic actually....Oh well.

Just use the Report to Moderator function at the bottom of the entries and our moderators will take care of the posts and the spambot.

Right. I did. I was just wondering if there would be a more convenient way to get rid of them without moderators having to go through and delete a bunch of stuff. I know it wouldn't get rid of them entirely but I thought it might cut down on some of the work for when they do show up.

I'm not sure if there is a simple solution there, personally. Requiring a number of points to post in episode comments would make it tough to build points to do other things, so I can see why they wouldn't want to do that, and it's where most of the spamming happens.

In any case, it's not a huge deal for us to handle the spambots in general. Just one report on a comment or forum post, and we can eliminate nearly all of what they've done in a few clicks.

I see. I thought it was a bit more involved when they make 10+ posts. Figured it was just a waste of time if it required going to each post they made and deleting it one at a time or something.

When I see a spam bot, I search up their posts and delete everything. One report is sufficient, either of the post or the user. More reports of the same user just makes things more tedious for moderators.

Thanks for your concern, happy you've put some thought into this.
