Definitely health care. We spend the most money yet underperform in comparison to other developed countries.
The quality of our health care program is sadly amongst the lowest while our neighbor Canada has 2nd best system (with the 1st place going to Australia)

Education is also another important issue which we need to solve. The U.S currently ranks 21th in the Education Index chart (some developed countries like the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Japan, Germany surprisingly rank worse though) and we can at least make it better.
Oh ... and the school lunch program should also need some improvement. If you have done the comparison between school in the U.S to other countries such as France or Italy, then you probably know the stark but embarrassing difference.

And in terms of peace and quality of life, we are completely lose against the Nordic countries who always top the chart.

America! Love it or leave it!
From the Deep South!

If you want "free" health care, there is no such thing, it costs someone somewhere.
Government does such a "great job"(not really) at your schools....put it in charge of healthcare.
Socialism is for losers and America loves a winner.

1) Mandatory geography and world culture lessons.

2) Stop separating yourselves by race. You are Americans.

3) Cheaper higher education and health care.

I stopped at "Deep South" realizing that he is probably another red neck who will defend his terribly flawed country and is absolutely content with the flaws it has even if it will run him straight into poverty and onto the streets. Nationalism at its finest.

Protecting net neutrality is a top priority, but, if I had another wish on top of that, it would be for reinstating the FCC Fairness Doctrine, the loss of which (in 1987) being what made Fox News and its ilk possible.

I'm pretty content. Health Care and Education could use some improvement though.

And let me tie my tubes. I don't want to reproduce dangit.

U can't tie your tubes? Age limit or too much money?

Well women can tie their tubes. But if you've never had kids before, or even if they don't think you've had enough kids, you pretty much have to persistently give them hell in order for them to ever let you. It'd be nice to be able to do it without the hassle. Though maybe for some women who aren't completely sure of their decision, it's necessary.

My mother got hers tied around 40. My sister is considering or recently has had hers tied. (if she hasn't the holdup is financial now).

you're right about the whole not having kids thing, but for you personally, it's also your age. You're 20 years old and unlike other "permanent" things, there's a special weight and severity to this process. So they typically wait till you're older.. like at LEAST mid 20's (in the case with my sister, ALSO with 3 kids).

I mean, it's kinda preventative, but it's treated like going to the veterinarian. It's for cats and dogs that have already bred too much. >.>
plus we hvae a crapton of other preventative methods.

O.O FUCK NO!
Community service and/or military.

sure supporting our country is important, as well as instilling a sense of duty, but honestly, our military is fucking huge. I'd rather send young people out to serve by taking care of old people in hospitals, or working in childcare, or SOMETHING as an alternative to our over the top military

We've got more than TWICE the degrees to measure with than you do!!

Thank you! I'd like to add gender there too...

I guess what I'd really like to see is some of the craziness go away and for people to be more focused on others and how or what might be needed to make sure society works, and that it works for everybody. The rest of it fill fall into place once we stop taking extreme points of vi- well, "passion" on our views, and start listening and collaborating in a critical, yet honest, fashion.

I would like to be unselfish and say Islam extremist terrorism, that is the second thing on my list though but what I'd like to change first is racism. I'm from the UK, London specifically which is quite a multicultural place, not much racism compared to other places, in fact I've never experienced any but the idea of people disliking me before they've even talked to me or got to know me because of my skin colour saddens me.
