Hello

As Netflix has been saying they were going to crack down on VPN users (and are now retracting that statement) I wanted to know if CR is following suit?
Did CR change their country blocking method today? It at least seems so.

I don´t know what you means by seems so, I haven´t noticed a difference. Oh well, if I can´t watch some series on here, I will just have to use alternative measures. I don´t know , I could always pay 35 euro´s to get on DVD what the Americans get for free! (For example). Or maybe, just very maybe, I will use another method should crunchyroll choose to do that, and off course there is also a very small chance, that the 50% (from an interview with a staff member I read once) of non-USA based users might also choose those methods.

In other words, there is chance that it might just cost crunchyroll half their advertising income and premium memberships. As a consumer, that´s not my problem tough. I will just be happy watching the series I want. They can fight it out with their investors and advertisers, who I am sure will be over themselves with joy seeing half the user base vaporize! What could possibly go wrong~?

But right now the series I am following this season are all available where I live, so no problems~

BTW, they retracted that statement? Did they now? Well, guess they don't want to go broke, then. Very smart move. XD

Sadly I have noticed a difference But if I'm the only one it might be my DNS provider which has issues but for over 1.5 years I never had problems.

Sure, there are always alternatives. VPN would be a very inelegant and inefficient solution.

At least that's Netflix's answer to the press about them cracking down on VPN users even harder (as they have already been doing quite a lot). (http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-30726631)

We're actually having a decent amount of shows for Switzerland. What are you trying to watch?

Could restore service

I did a short comparison of the recent titles. Switzerland gets an okay-ish selection but nearly all have-to-see big series are missing. For example:
- Log Horizon
- Sword Art Online
- Sailor Moon
- Fairy Tail
- One Piece

Some other series that I care about which are missing:
- Fate/stay Night
- Akame ga Kill
- Chaika
- Aldnoah Zero
- Your Lie in April
- Shirobako
- Celestial Method

These are at least the ones I miss and care about. Luckily JoJo is available :D
It's nice that Switzerland gets some quality titles but it looks like most of the titles I enjoy are missing from that selection.

Of course there are shows which CR does not show at all which would have been an amazing addition like Shingeki No Bahamut, Amaburi or Yondemasu yo Azazel-san. But I Imagine you try your best to provide a big selection and often you have 80% of the titles I'm interested in (at least in the US selection) so I'm fine with that.

We have a few series which are unavailable to US users, but available to Swiss users with German subtitles. They will appear when you use the site in German.

Yes, indeed you have and that's great but as you can see I still can't watch most of the series I'm actually interested in.
Once or twice there was a series I watched on the Swiss page as it wasn't available to US users but that's very rare.

Some of those shows may be available through Daisuki, or other streaming sites that serve your region.

It has been such a long time I have been on CR. There were lots of changes but unfortunately the thing that never changed was the region blocking. Animes that were blocked many years ago are still blocked till today. Maybe that's why there are so many inactive members around...
