I found this game on the PSN Store hours ago today, and it looked interesting.

Up to now I've been playing Destiny, though it's been getting monotonous, as much as I hate to admit that. Resident Evil HD Remaster is also coming out later this month, but I'm craving something fresh right now, and this one game caught my interest.
For the record, I plan on buying a physical copy of this game, not a digital one. I'm just old-fashioned like that, but it's an issue of trust. Anyway, nevermind that. Continuing on....

So I'm asking anyone here if it's recommended or not. I think the game looks fun. But I read some reviews referenced on Wikipedia, stating that the action is screwy, that it's too fan-servicey, and that there are framerate issues (even on the PS4?). Well, I don't give a damn about the complaints of fan-service; this seems reminiscent of Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus, another game I never played but have seen a video of. But the more technical aspects may cause some worry, such as framerate.

Chances are high that I'm going to get this game, regardless of what everyone says. Though, still, I figured it wouldn't hurt to inquire to anyone here who has played this game. I look forward to hearing any and all responses.

Yes. Get it. Now. It consumed my life for a month or so. Had to make sure I had everything. A lot of people don't like the battle system but it's extremely easy once you get the hang of it (it's one of the easiest action games out there, even on the hardest "Otaku" mode). Multiple endings, great localization, a lot of customization options, nice additional features.

PS4 version is smoothest so get that if you're sensitive about framerate. Although I honestly didn't notice much issues with the PS3 version.

I'm going with the yes crowd too, I got mine for my PS Vita and I find it a very enjoyable game.
And if you have been to Akihabara before, prepare for a nostalgia trip.

liked it myself, might not have played as much as others but it's a very interesting niche game.

I really enjoyed this game.. It was much better written than i thought it was going to be.(based on the cover and premise) It is not a perfect game by any means, but it is quite funny and you will more than likely get more than a few laughs while playing it.

I bought the game on Friday, and I must've been a lucky bastard because it was the last copy they had....new, too.

I have no regrets getting this game, despite what others may say otherwise. My only real complaints about this game are the awkward, clunky combat controls, the often obstructive game-world, and the fact that it's too short (I beat it at about 3:10PMCST). But I'm replaying the game on Otaku mode, so it should keep me occupied for a while longer.

Props to Japan for keeping it real, too. I think that what most of us in the West don't understand is that Japan knows what we like, but we don't want to admit it, because we don't want to appear as ultra-perverts or something. I wish Japan would release more games like this over here, but if they did they'd only be handheld....go figure that handheld, mobile games are bigger than triple-A games in Japan. The Phantom Pain may fix that, but that's off-topic, because I'm talking about wishing for more anime-aesthetic games on home consoles....and they don't have to be about ripping people's clothes off or anything, though that's a bonus (as is fan-service).

Anyway, I wanted to thank everybody who responded and recommended this game, though I was going to buy it regardless because I needed something different to play, and Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed was most proper.

Totally agree.

I got these four stripped as of tonight and I plan to upload them in their well-deserved HD glory (1920x1080). Probably not here, though, since Crunchyroll reduces their size.

Alas, Shizuku's my crush....though I'm too old to be having videogame character crushes, but hey.

Weeaboo fodder in my opinion.
The game looks dated, repetitive and generic in plot.
I wouldn't spend anything on it before it divebombs in price, and even then I'd feel hesitant.

EDIT: So in true hypocrite fashion, I just purchased the game.
Was on the lookout for a new game to play and to my dismay "Trails in the sky" is VITA only (I might buy it for pc later though)
so I went with this game.

I'll get back to this message once I got a full overview of the entire game.
