I watch it on Crunchyroll and Funimation via PS3/VITA/laptop. I don't really buy many blu rays discs because they are expensive and with my CR/funimation subscription I'm also supporting the anime industry.

I watch it online, since Blu Rays are expensive, dvds are lower quality, and downloading takes up too much of my hard drive space.

Since being new to this, I'm simply just streaming my Anime for now. Mainly stream via the CR app on the PS4 and, if that isn't handy, I'll stream via a web browser. Eventually I may look into buying the physical products, but I'm having no problems watching them this way.

So how many Blu-Rays do you own?

About 35 series. I haven't bought any of the last few I've watched, but I will when I get around to it. I like to buy in bulk lol

I only got the second half of Attack on Titan just because it wasnt available on Crunchyroll and I was in an hmv but luck. I definetly need much more. But the good stuff can only be ordered online. Im thinking about buying Psycho Pass.

it gets expensive quick. I dropped $275 on my Oreimo Season 2 limited edition blu ray set. I think if i calculated my entire collection up it would be well over $5k - that is why i don't like it when everyone complains about pirating. Box Sets are ridiculously priced!!! But yeah I always order online, never bought in a store before.

Well the reason why it is so pricy is that the Anime industry works like that. Only a few hardcore fans buy the DVDs and Blu-rays to finance the hole production. Price drops don't do that much. That's also why merchandise is pricy aswell. This is called price elasticity. If the price is elastic a drop of 10% in price would mean f.ex. an increase in quantity by 20%. That means more profit. But with Anime and Merchandise it is the other way around. They are price inelastic. So they make more profit with higher prices and smaller quantities. (I actually learned sth in Economics )

There is an interesting article talking about how Anime production works: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/feature/2012-03-05

lol i was econ pre law major for 2 years, but thanks; although income elasticity has more to do with this particular product since it is a luxury good. & it is inelastic for that reason - no substitutes. Good job dude, you paid attention in econ, when i was in jr high i slept through that class haha

I watch it with my eyes. I've done Online, Blu-ray and DVD. I have downloaded What's Opera, Doc? and favorite OP and ED themes (until music cd becomes available) though.
