The title itself is screaming a couple things to me. One, it's all about me and what I want at the expense of a relationship (something that goes both ways) with others. Two, his hobbies are beckoning him to choose them (ME!ME!ME!) over everything else in his life.

There is a digital picture frame with anime girls in it instead of a real girl. Seemingly this guy once had a real girlfriend who loved him but his otaku ways consumed his life and they broke up. The broken picture frame with the real girl and him inside symbolizes this.

The imagery of him being devoured is symbolic of him losing himself to his hobbies. The imagery of the nudity and graphic sexual poses and violence with the game are meant to show how deep down the rabbit hole he has gone into this otaku life style consuming him. The leader with the mask represents the control it has over his life.

Of course, I expect most to see the T&A and just be like wtf weird Japan, but it is clear to me the video is sending a message about one's priorities and warning not to let things rule your life. It is also ironic it is an anime sending this message through what could be taken as surface level entertainment if viewed through the wrong lens. It's a very bold and unique way to make a statement, and one I think works quite well if you are looking past the surface level of things.

A tertiary meaning one could also take away is a criticism of the anime and game industry today relying too much on fan service and violence and in turn the otaku who mindlessly consume them. It is important to understand the culture in which this video was made to get the meaning behind what is happening. Otherwise, it will look like just shocking imagery to the casual viewer. The messages sent by the video I believe are good ones. The intent is to get people to reflect on how they consume media; and maybe question if the media is really consuming them instead.

It's a very well animated, story that's a bit confusing sure, but still has a very relevant message about what happens when you indulge in hobbies like anime, porn and video games, to the point where it becomes an obsession. A very good and very artistic short that deserves WAY more attention over here in the west (because let's face it, many of us are already going down that road)

nothing really shocks me now, I thought it was really pretty otherwise, and if you understand the meaning it's a pretty cool video.

I'm sure a lot of people mis-look at it for strong nudity, but thing is- without that nudity you wouldn't take it seriously before or after.
The nudity is the representation of extreme for itself, that lust is ultimately unbeatable.

One way to take a personal perspective while watching is that the cycles continue, as you can see the ending clip is also the beginning clip.
It's a strong message, but to catch young audience these days you have to go about of what they appeal to most, and that's: cybernetic-trippy-dubstep.

I could go super in-depth with what I thought the short meant...

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOR I can just post a link of DemoD's explanation on it since it hits basically everything that I got out of the short after watching it a few times to try and understand it completely. So yeah, here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_YjrTyxde8

Most people reacted very shocked to the nudity...

but!

our main character, the male porno-addict, was eaten alive by his girlfriend?! That was very shocking to me.

the aftermath: a cadaver of the main character -- and he was still alive, I think.

In terms of the video I was surprised but its not the worst I seen (in fact I actually thought it was really well made). The one french 1 with the crazy monsters was crazier.

Anyway I wouldnt be surprised by the Otaku description, but I feel its more leaning towards the morals of relationships like how this guy cheated on his girlfriend with...others aka this demon thingy (kinda like Catherine).

It points towards sexuality so much that I cant believe thats all that is geared towards Otakus (well of course besides it being 1. a anime, 2. having a momentary video game reference, 3. going into a computer/tv, the disheveled room. With the whole crying girlfriend, the girlfriend being absorbed, the fight to return to her, and the breaking of the picture....

I unno but its good.

P.S: The music kicked ass.

And I disagree. Lust is conquerable in certain ways, isn't it?

I liked the music. The animation was wonderful (seriously, how much was that budget?). I was also very confused, but then I watched the Youtubers react vid and some people had good things to say.

Cool animation, odd video, I suspect it has a deeper meaning to it… of some sort.

I could almost feel the acid the producers were likely high on seeping through my pores when I watched it.
