I know the worst tacos are Taco Bell tacos. Couldn't tell you where I had the best tacos I've ever had. I must add, New England isn't good when it comes to Mexican food and I don't think I've ever had great Mexican food before.

I'm not a huge fan of tacos. Especially hard tacos. I prefer burritos or a taco salad (big ass hard shell with lots of taco stuff inside).

Best Mexican? Mostly in the privately owned places. There's a REALLY good one in NYC I've frequented multiple times, but for something where I live, I prefer the place on the corner. They also deliver.

Not Mexicans for sure.

Even when you go to a small Chinese take out restaurant, the ones who are cooking are not Chinese.

The secret is that sweet soy sauce. Not the regular soy sauce. The sweet soy sauce. Add that. Bam! Chinese.

For Hispanic's, tomato sauce in a can. Everything is tomato sauce.

I'm pretty sure my mexican food is made by mexicans, and my chinese food is made by the chinese. >.>

But our japanese and thai food is made by the same people that do the chinese so........................:P

It's not the "sweet" soy sauce. It's just balancing flavors and spices properly. The more you use the ingredients, the more you get used to them and that better understanding lends to better utility.


Also, a legitimate secret is cornstarch instead of flour as a thickening agent and also as a batter/"breading".

Tch. As we say where I live, "Mexicans always work for Chinese. Never with them."

The ones cooking the Chinese food where I live are the Mexicans and Central Americans.
