First, he think it works and now he said it didn't work. Corporally punishing a child, even multiple times is most likely to get away with bad and wrong things, even when the parents are not looking. Just slaves are most likely to insult the police, even like NWA did, and even get away with bad things such as gun-violence, becoming a gang member, or even become a criminal, even when the slave owners are not looking

There are so many ways to teach children by non-violence discipline. Which means spanking is never allowed, especially with objects. Besides, spanking, in any form including objects, is a lazy and abusive way, it also shows lack of expressed feelings, lack of self esteem, even lack of respect. It

Since that thread is recently active please continue the discussion there. You can either paste what you wrote above as a new post in the existing thread, or edit your opening post there to add this new commentary.

(If you do the latter you might want to spoiler tag the stuff from the original so the post doesn't look uninvitingly long, and you might also want to add a new post at the end to mention that you've added some new thoughts to the opening).
