I can't decide between two:

Clannad: After Story. Besides the emotional content (which is extreme), just watching Tomoya and Nagisa support each other really struck a chord with me.

Bunny Drop: It was watching Bunny Drop that it really hit me "this is something that Hollywood would never do". American TV or cinema would try to turn the story into a slap-stick comedy, or they would ramp up the romantic tension and turn it into a rom-com, or they would add in unnecessary drama about someone trying to take Rin away so that it could reach a heartfelt climax. Bunny Drop does none of those things--it just lets the relationship develop at its own pace, and trusts the viewer to enjoy the everyday heartfelt moments without unnecessary drama. It was that show that really made me appreciate what is unique, and wonderful, about anime.

Welcome to the NHK had the biggest impact on me. It hit home extremely hard (especially at the time in my life when I had watched it) multiple times and caused me to have full on breakdowns multiple times. It may not be the best anime but I personally rate it really high because of how well it connected with me.

After that probably The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, followed by Golden Time, followed by Angel Beats.

Pet girl was just so good at showcasing the aspect of personal failures while being involved with people that only create brilliance.

Golden Time was just the first real romance anime that decided to actually show how the relationships play out instead of the show just being an entire buildup to two people just becoming a couple and then ending (that I watched, not saying it was the very first to take this route). Emphasizing how its not all happily ever after once in a relationship. Discounting the completely out of left-field ending, the whole show seemed very realistic, and god forsake that parade dance thing they do I still can't get it out of my head. Also, all the feels for Chinami, I hated that very last clip after the credits with Mitsuo. I don't have a clear idea why but when I saw that it instilled a lot of rage within my heart, and still pisses me off when I think about it lol.

And Angel Beats because it was Angel Beats lol. Who cares about the plothole. It was just so sad .

Honorable Mention: Toradora. The Minori fist kiss is the one scene that sticks with me through that show so hard.

Those were definitely the ones that left the biggest impact on me. However, I will say most romance animes will get me to cry by the end, or any just exceptionally well done animes that brought about the feels.

Akira and From the New World. Both of them were mind provoking and will earn a spot in anime history in my opinion.

For me it would be Attack on Titan and Love, Chunibyo, and other Delusions.

Attack on Titan a year ago got me more into anime then I already, which is to say I saw a few but was never majorly into it. Before it I just watched Yu Yu Hakusho and maybe a few episodes of one piece when I was younger, but Attack on Titan got me watching even more anime, especially once I got crunchyroll.

Love, Chunibyo, and other Delusions because after watching both seasons I have to say its my favorite anime. The show is hilarious, the imaginary battles are awesome, no/very little fan service, and it was an actual relationship between to characters.

Clannad reminded me how important family can be and how you should treasure your time with your loved ones. Anyone can pass away at anytime, it's just how unfair life is so make the most of the time you spend with them, because it might not last as long as you hope

I would have to say Naruto has made the biggest impact on me. It's what got me into anime in the first place, and I still look forward to it nearly every weak despite its flaws. I wouldn't place it in my top 10 list, but if I hadn't watched Naruto on disney (or cartoon network, can't remember), then I would likely be a different person today.

For me I'd say Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Pokemon. After seeing that, I spend all afternoon chaseing animals around and trying to stick them in hollow balls :)

I hope you didn't terrify or hurt the animals.
