No, but I rode my bike down a hill once without a helmet, and at the bottom where there was also an intersection, I almost slammed right into the side of a car.

Picture related

I was walking minding my own business when BOOM! I fell to the ground and felt a sharp pain in my side. Looked around to see what caused it and found out it was a parked car.

I just suck at walking.

Not making fun of anyone who has been cause that must really suck.

ALWAYS go to the hospital after an accident!!! Were the police called and you have their driving information I hope?! Some injuries don't start to hurt until hours or even days later, and if anything turns into any sort of permanent injury that hospital visit is your proof that it is a result of the accident!

I did not go to the hospital after a car accident when I was about your age, and I regretted it greatly in the weeks and months that followed. Also, not to completely freak you out, but my husband was hit by a car in his youth which very likely led to the scoliosis he later developed... go to the hospital!

I can not believe you just made me serious-post on CR.

lol gotta know what you are getting into, but people say i nearly do it all the time. i admit i spazz out and take a step into the streets at lights but i regain my sense and take a step back. although i saved many peoples lives, they legitly almost gets grazed at the least or worst.

i have been hit by a car before, but it was from stop to start so no more energy then a a light push. so i don't think that counts.

Yes. I was crossing the street on my bike when the light turned. Lady was coming down the street and was in the turn lane instead of the straight lane and clipped my bike. I spun out on my butt on the road. Other than a ass burger I was fine. I can't believe to this day the light changed that fast since I looked at it before continuing to cross the road.

I barely avoided it tonight. Was walking my dog across the street, two cars approaching. I started running to avoid them, ended up tumbling over my own two feet. Half my body was dangling off of the sidewalk and the other half over the ditch I was very close to falling into, but luckily, the drivers had stopped to spectate my spectacular blunder. But you'd probably abruptly halt too if you heard some panicked cry of "OH SHIT!".

I picked up my dog's leash, luckily still in my hand, rather disgruntled. The second driver asked if I was alright, which was a very courteous thing to do.

And now I have two gashes on the edge of my hand, what is already clotting into a purple bruise on my knee, and some rubbed skin on my arm and ankle. I'm very thankful that my hand was the only thing injured to a moderate extent. But especially that I was noticed by the drivers. Tragedy narrowly averted.

Yep, and I was left with a nice scar on my leg (apparently I'm lucky to still have it? I don't recall since it was over a decade ago and a traumatizing experience)

Yes, just this last summer in fact. I was riding my bike across a street, when a lady decided to turn right into me and hit me with her lights. This was a big deal for me; because I have ridden my bike for years, all over, and never had any accidents (I'm cautious). What really made this stand out, was that I was crossing with my buddy who was 5 feet in front of me; and she hit him too. Makes me wonder if she was even looking before she started making her right turn on red; as she plastered the two of us across both her headlights. We both emerged unscathed, luckily; the lady finished making her turn and then decided to ask if we were all right. Despite us saying yes, she repeatedly queried us with this, half a dozen times while she finished giving us her information. Probably because I smacked straight into the hood of her car with my head; fortunately I've experienced worse bumps from just tripping over.
