Grim. Not great. Currently fluctuating from a half full to a half empty glass on a daily basis, because I can't make up my damn mind.

i dont know why i read these types of posts...

I just get angry and a bit sad whenever i read about people who say they dont want to be a part of life or they are emotionless and cold and hate people...

There are MANY, too many damn things you can do to make your life incredibly happy and fulfilling, and many will die without ever seeing it.
All i can say is.....it all starts when you believe in yourself and believe in your own happiness and capabilites. You are unique and you probably cant see it because domestic life can be boring and HARSH (heavy media presence, societal norms, presence, never have enough money) and constantly weigh you down, but there is something out there for each and every one of you....if youre not happy with your current life, or believe it can be so much more then you have to take the risks and spread your wings!!! (cheesy i know LOL but true)

As for my outlook on life....its difficult to say, but i couldve really used this mind set when i was desperately alone and looking for my purpose in this life!....I am a realist, and generally cheery, and have a great outlook on life

I generally think the world is a pretty terrible place, and I expect bad things to happen. More often than not, when going into a situation, I expect and want to be ready for the worst.

However, that makes the good things even more beautiful when they happen. There's a lot of beauty to be had if you look for it. I get very cheerful over very small things, it's easy to make me happy even though I'm a generally paranoid and negative thinking person.

So I guess I'm more along the lines of "the glass is half empty so let's fill it up" if that makes sense.

I accept the world for what it is but since I'm stuck here I like to make the best of it.

I hate people because of a childhood experience with a school bus driver which I don't want to go into too much detail on this thread, plus just how ugly a lot of people have not only treated me but people I've known growing up and even today.

I've grown cold and emotionless for the reason stated above, as well as being forced to watch everyone around me die. Family, friends, a lover, they've all died around me at one point or another.

I've given up on life because I came to the realization that no matter what I do, the one dream I've had my entire life, the one thing I've wanted to do with my life since my earliest memories was not a possibility for me, as well as reasons listed above.

I hate existing because, as well as all the things listed above, the mental issues I have make every day a test to see how much torture I can endure before I inevitably say "fuck it" and go back to bed and sleep the rest of the day away, only to be plagued by constant nightmares.

I have a slash scar on my wrist going from my palm upwards. The one thing I am thankful for is that I don't consider that an option anymore. So I hold on, thinking that one day I'll have finally lost everything of importance to me and then maybe at that point I can finally start being happy, because I'll have nothing else to lose, nobody else to judge me, nobody else to be forced to say goodbye to, no one who could hurt me, no one to feed the issues wrong in my head. I think when that day comes it'll be the first time in my life I'll be able to experience true joy or happiness.

The only time in my 27 years that I've actually, truly experienced pure happiness was back when I used to get high off my pain killers. Maybe I did back when I was very very little, before shit started going wrong but I don't have any memories prior to high school really so as far as I know I've never had those experiences.

I enjoy it quite a bit. I have a full-time job, my own house and a girlfriend who I am going to marry once we finish our degrees. I do not see why you do not enjoy it. From an atheist stand point, I believe, this is all we have and after that there is nothing. So appreciate what little you do have before you say " it sucks"<- all EMO style. Besides, if you want a better life maybe you should try getting off the couch and doing something with it. Take it from me, I was born poor with drug addicted parents I jumped from friends houses until I was the age of 20 and decided to do something with my life. Honestly, that is all it really takes, decide you want something better and make it happen.

pew pew

Who are you calling a lazy "emo", dumbass? Oh I get it, the emo thread. I like how trolls stalk my posts looking for ammunition, its flattering to receive that kind of attention. Well, I'm not an emo but I don't mind being called it as a baseless accusation that has no merit whatsoever. On that thread I did nothing but criticize it. And I never lived off my parents until I was 20 you false psychic fuck. ~

did I quote you? No I do not think so...only those offended would have reason to be. However, you did make me laugh getting so work up over a few words. LOL the pen is mightier than the sword.

I don't have a very positive outlook on life, because most people around me are too ignorant and deluded. Most people believe we can continue the infinite growth paradigm. Meaning we can keep on going on the path of infinite consumption and infinite population growth. That's not possible on a finite planet.

Yeah but infinite population growth is pretty much over in the developed world, once the rest of the world catches up birth rates are going to continue dropping drastically, heck the only reason why the US population isn't dropping is due to immigration.

Well, I'm a Christian, so my outlook on life is primarily positive. I think that I was made with a purpose, along with everyone else around me. Therefore I think every life has value and that I should work to help those around me. The whole world is a bit screwed up, but that's just all the more reason to love.

Also, I didn't vote on the poll. If the glass represents life, specifically my own, then I believe it to be empty without Jesus who makes it full. If we're going with that metaphor. Sorry if that sounded preachy or whatever. Just answering the thread honestly.
