Purple - is probably a light black

that's an oxymoron

____
Personally, I think blonde on an anime character translates to light brown or copper red on real life Asians.

What do you think?

Ok, so what exactly does a "light black" hair color look like in real life?

Agree.

Even in the anime Kuroko no basket mentioned that they colored their hairs as a sign of rebellious age.

What I have always wondered is if characters with white or pale blue hair and red eyes are supposed to be the anime representation of albino-ism. Like in NGE, assuming dark blue is an artistic representation of black, it seems like most of the characters have somewhat realistic coloring - other than Rei. Is she an albino? This is something I have always wanted to ask. In my opinion she is an albino, that is how my mind perceives the look for some reason.

I noticed that this topic isn't new but I thought so much about the anime colours and I really have smth to add here! I akways envied the anime characters because of the colour of their hair, I think (and I suppose that it's truth) that such unnatural colours are natural for them in fact (the other universe yeah) But today isn't a problem to make on your head the same style, I was a bit shicked several years ago when I found out how many cool colours can be made on your hair, like in this gallery http://stylemann.com/best-hair-color-ideas/ for example
And what a beautiful cosplay you can create as the result! But anyway I think that the best cosplays or close to them are made by Asians

Considering hair color is more about differentiating characters, and anime is typically filled with japanese characters....

so assuming they don't dye their hair:

Red=Black
Blue=Black
Pink=Black
Green=Black
Orange=Black
Purple=Black
White=Black
Black=Black
Yellow= European/American character, so OBVIOUSLY they're blonde. Don't you know all Caucasians have blonde hair!?!!?!?

:P
