Everyone is the same

Well, they are. We are walking bags of water and dirt. While yes, every job blow dirtbag can decry their relations to humanity, with that ideal one-of-a-kindedness we see with each and every post. But how real is it? We all breathe air, and we all die. Does it really matter who or what you are in the end, and if so, why?

It's honestly a lot of lip service. Flat out truth.

does it matter to be different? no. Does it matter to strive? I like to believe so. And a very interesting way to think of it is that it's important.... if it's important to you. :P

But your relationship to your ideals and your goals is unique to you, just as it is to everyone else (this doesn't make you "special" this is just noting that you are still an individual). So depending upon how much something is valued by you, will determine how much it is worth striving for.

I'd like to believe it's all worth SOMETHING. Nihilism leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

If we turn ourselves inside out when you can only see organs and blood gushing everywhere, maybe people will realize we are the same..

"We should celebrate our similarties not tear each other apart for our differences."
^ wanted to say this quote for a while but couldn't find the right situation.

This is similar to a glass half full or glass half empty view.

Half-full - Unique
Half-empty - Similar

Personally I rather be unique because there are many stereotypes in the world that I do not enjoy being grouped with. (easiest one is probably bad Asian driver).

Not really. We are conscious. That speaks values over dirt, water. bags. and air. We have the ability to think past nothing. We have the ability to have an imagination. Our imagination can think of a world that exceeds the universe.
We are different. We each have a slight diversion in our chemical make up that makes us, well us. We all play a part of something. As terrible and small as our lives our. The butterfly effect.

Our conscious is what makes us different. Our bodies are similar but not the same. Yes we all die but we all live with our own set of ideas and morals. We are different. I'm sorry but it's almost childish to think we are all the same. I don't mean to be negative but you are just being a little too over positive there Gandhi
We all judge each other. We aren't blobs like that episode from Fairly Odd Parents.

Go to a kindergarten class. Find the children, and talk to them. Ask them about their hopes and dreams, and about they want to be when they grow up.

Most of them are going to give you a bunch of bullshit, but it's going to be bright eyed bushy tailed bullshit and every one of them is going to give you an interesting and different answer.

You're right. We are bags of water and dirt who one day wake up and walk around the planet for a while and die.

But we are thinking walks of dirt. We are thinking walks of dirt who have the capability of thinking "one day I want to go to the moon." We're capable of asking questions such as "Why am I here?"

Just the fact that you've posted this thread and you're capable of thinking on such an intense level to question your own difference from the rest of your species proves that we're more than you think we are.

And sure, in the end we're going to die. None of it really matters in the grand scheme of things. Compared to the size and longevity of the world, and even the universe, we're absolutely nothing. Meaningless. I could conquer the world, bring everybody in existence to their knees and when I die things will move on. None of it will matter. I can wipe out the human race, or destroy the planet, but the universe will go on. But it can matter to me, and it can matter to you. In the end you get to choose what matters and what doesn't. You choose what matters to you in your own life.

Personally, I don't see any true purpose to why I'm here. I don't really understand why I'm a talking sack of water and dirt that decided to start walking one day. But dammit, I'm here, and I'm alive, and I can do whatever I want so I'm going to enjoy my time as much as I can before I die and I'm going to do what I want.

and that's my ninja way~

we are 99% similar and 1% different but this 1% is enough to make us all unique. its your choice what you view important.
