Feminism - Version 2, now back and better than ever. If you are a woman feeling oppressed by a patriarchal society, please take Feminism V.2 once a day until oppression lifts. Side effects include Feminazi Syndrome and increased feelings of power in women. If you experience Feminism lasting for more than four hours, please visit a doctor. Make sure Feminism V.2 doesn't conflict with other medications you are taking before ingesting, such as Patriarchal V.2 and Chauvinism.

How can anyone take feminism seriously when 50 shades of grey is on every woman's nightstand.

How can anyone take me seriously when I want to buy a BDSM starter book?

Heh. Seriously, no. Don't consider 50 Shades to be an accurate, in any way, representation of BDSM. For one thing, in a healthy and ideal BDSM relationship, the sub is the one with the power. They decide how far it goes, all while giving the dom a sense of being the one in power.

I know all about how pathetic bdsm is, thanks for the refresher course.

Pathetic? Riiight. Actually, studies show that people in BDSM relationships with loved ones are mentally healthier than those who aren't. But, of course, mental health is sooo pathetic. As is apparently mutual trust, which is also vital for BDSM.

Let's just toss things like mental health and mutual trust out the window. Who needs 'em?

Getting off to torture play is mentally healthy. OK.

Torture play? Calling all BDSM torture play shows how little you actually know about it. Which makes me lose interest entirely in explaining it to you. Why bother? You already have a misguided notion you show no interest in correcting.

Thanks I wasn't interested in being lectured on something I care nothing about.

Oh, don't worry. I'd never dream of making someone give up their ignorance for actual information.

Ignorance is bliss in this case.

Statistics seem to imply BDSM is bliss.
