um i still like them well except for Harry Potter. Boy it was a pain waiting for each volume to come out but by the time the 7th rolled out, it took me months to finally get my hands on it, and then I didn't like the ending so somehow I just stopped liking it at all.

The Boxcar Children were probably my absolute fav
Babysitter's Club
Magic Tree House
Harry Potter
Sideways Stories from Wayside School

The Saddle Club, The Black Stallion, & basically anything about horses haha

and a bunch more I'm sure... I read a lot of books up until high-speed internet came along lol.

My parents gave me a stuffed rabbit toy when I was born to keep in my crib, so The Velveteen Rabbit when I was really young.

My father was kind of eccentric and read adult literature to me rather than Children's, so I learned to read by watching as he'd trail his finger over the words of books like The Hobbit as he read them aloud.

As a result the first books I read for myself were things like Jack London, Tolkien, and Edgar Rice Burroughs instead of Dr. Seuss and the like. I've probably read the Lord of the Rings trilogy at least a dozen times.

Edit: I noticed this thread is about non-manga books. I've read many of E.B. White's Book like Charlotte's Web. I actually read so many books as a child that I don't even remember.
I actually remember reading a lot of Dr. Seuss's books back when I was in Kinder-3rd Grade.

This was my favorite one.

Always loved reading and learned to read fairly early which was great. I mostly read Dragonlance novels, Animorphs, Tom Clancy novels, and Goosebumbs, then Harry Potter later on.

I used to have endless fun trying to find Wally in those "where's wally?" books. Other than that I loved reading 'Elmo the elephant' and 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. I used to go to the library often when I was small.

I loved to read books by Disney (including Winnie the Pooh) and Dr. Seuss at first then graduated to Roald Dahl, C.S. Lewis, Jules Verne, Edgar Rice Burroughs and the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew series. After that came my Doc Savage, Lovecraft, Robert E. Howard and Poe obsessions.
