I dunno if I'm smart or not, I score high on multiple choice regardless of what I know about the subject.

Besides, regardless of my own IQ, it's everybody else's I'm stuck dealing with, and my intelligence doesn't work in an OCD learn everything about a subject kind of way.

132...

This seems about right, as I was never told my IQ when I was younger.

I got a 136 but I'll never believe IQ tests are the right way to measure intelligence. The biggest problem is simply that it only checks the 'answer' and not the path. Take a Rubik's cube for example; there is a definite difference in intelligence between someone that learns to solve it from internet vs someone who figures it out on his own. This is because one used KNOWLEDGE to solve the Rubik's cube vs INTELLIGENCE. Tests that check for just the correct answer cannot discern between the two and that is why I will never believe that any of the online IQ tests matter at all.

This is also why artificial intelligence (AI) is not 'true' intelligence yet; it is merely a knowledgeable calculator. Sure it can solve many varied and complex problems, but it always has to KNOW how to solve a problem before it proceeds to solve it.

This is great, I clicked the thumbs up, I hope that means something. Here is the Dunning-Kruger effect in a graph.

Scoring high is good, but it's not all there is to it. Don't assume you'll score high just because your IQ test says you will.

Same here, I get too nervous

I've actually never taken an IQ test before

I'm not a number, I'm a person

I refuse your boxes society!
Some really stupid people are good people and some really smart people are mastermind villains. So there, what does it matter?

So I finally took an IQ test just now

It said I need to pay

let's put this back

ok now

The link you provided isn't accurate... but for funsies I guess you could take it but what's the point lol it's not like you'd have a legitimate score unless you attend a MENSA testing or something.

I stated right below the link(s) I provided that the scores weren't accurate. So if ya'll want to complain about it then complain, but I already warned you. Want a legitimate IQ score? Then go get yourself tested. Simple as that.

I have been given multiple batteries of tests by several groups. I score very highly on a number of measures. There are a few problems though. My attention measures are so low that they are supposedly equivalent to being mentally handicapped. I've been told that persons with attention scores as low as mine normally can't even dress themselves properly and are obviously impaired. My very high scores in other areas allow me to seem as though I have normal function. My score on IQ tests varies more than it should depending on how distracted I am at the given time, but the scores range from 115-145. I am also apparently more adept at order of intentionality than the average person is. Most people function at about the third order regularly and max at five. Supposedly I operate far more fluently at four and five than is typical and I was able to follow sixth order in almost real time without notes. The shrink that gave me that one joked that I would be far better at taking over the world than Brain ever was (Pinky and the Brain reference) if I just had a better attention span than Pinky. I do have a friend that scores from 140-150 on official IQ tests, but he has even more issues than I do, IQ isn't everything by a long shot.

I was also diagnosed incorrectly as autistic when I was younger. Then they decided I had ADD. Last pass they called it "high functioning Asperger's". They don't really seem to know what to make of me. The thing that bothers me is that while ADD and the autism spectrum have some overlap, they are pretty different. It probably doesn't help that I can usually figure out what a test is designed for and how to circumvent most measures... except for that attention span stuff. I know when they're testing me for it, but I can't do anything about that one, that part of my brain really is FUBAR.

For those asking what IQ actually measures, it is essentially brain functions related to Western cultural academics. It tends to be a decent predictor of academic success if the individual does not have issues (like me) or learning disabilities. There are actually many other kinds of intelligence with other measures, the validity of some of the measures is questionable though.

I got 114, as I'm studying law I would hope this is right. But from how I perform in tests and stuff I'd say this is accurate and I am around the above average or "smart" mark.
