It's been a few weeks for me now too. Apple TV and iPad. It goes from annoying to unwatchable. Please fix this!

No improvements after several weeks. My xBox 360 is okay, but the iPad and Apple TV are unusable. No response from tech support in nearly two weeks.

I don't know what happened, but I was able to watch my last weeks updates this weekend with NO freezes or stutters. I got emails from support suggesting a DNS change from Comcast default but since I had done that long past, I did nothing. It worked anyway.

The problem seems to have gone away on my Apple TV this week. CR support had asked me to run performance tests and traces for them when it lags; but it has lagged this week. I don't think this is the end of it though. I still suspect there is some sort of issue wrt their Apple TV app.

Same here...no freeze and skip problem for the last few days. It seems to be fixed now.

If Crunchy had anything to do with this, thank you very much guys! If the Crunchy crew did not, well, thank whichever anime god who stepped in then. It's so much nicer now.

I hope it's working better for everybody else too. Keeping my fingers crossed that it stays this way.

Currently having this problem now. Streamed several series on Apple TV flawlessly last week, then suddenly freezing became very common. Is it show dependent?
Some things that seem to help, but only for a single episode:
-Fast-Forwarding several minutes, allowing it to buffer, then going back to the freeze point.
-Deleting viewing history
-Exiting CR app then restarting

Will keep following...

This problem restarted for me yesterday. The stalling and jumping forward just as before on my IPad, but this time it's happening on my MacPro too. Anyone else having the same problem again?

Crunchy fixed it once, so they can do it again. -------- I have hopes.

Confirmed on my IPad. It is CR problem so we can't do anything about it unfortunately.

Last nighty I tried to watch "is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon" and the stall was so bad I had to give up. I LOGGED OUT and wet to HULU to watch one episode of "Cowboy Bebop", then came back and logged back in at Crunchy. I watched 2 different episodes before the stalling started again.

Crunchy needs to get this fixed and soon. I know they can do it..

Looking at similar forum threads, I also tried "disconnect my device" (Under My Devices in Settings) for Apple TV several days ago. I can only say the freeze-up happened less often. Coincidence? The frequency did increase as the series progressed.

Sounds like this happens on other devices, so I don't know what to think.

On most of the apps, it's probably prudent to exit and restart after watching several episodes in a row, just to proactively prevent performance issues before they start occurring.

Yes, it's not clear to me whether "netbox" type devices have a cache or something that needs to be cleared as if it were a browser. "Clear cache" isn't a menu option, but they seem to act as if they do, and restarting an app... or in the worst case unplugging Apple TV and plugging it back in, seems to suspend problems or cause fewer occurrences.

Unable to watch anything on CR on apple TV for several days now. Vimeo, Youtube, and TV shows all running just fine through the Apple TV. Only CR hung and not delivering content. CR menus's all come up, my queue comes up, but once I try to start streaming a show, nothing happens. I reduced the resolution down to standard definition, no help. I reset DSL Modem, Wireless router, made a sacrifice to Murphy, and CR continues to not work on the Apple TV. I reset the Apple TV. CR continues to not work.

Any suggestions?

You did everything I would do. Is all firmware is automatically updated? I set mine so I must manually approve updates, since sometimes updates make things *worse*- but that hasn't happened for awhile now.

I have a unsubstantiated hypothesis that software updates on both the sending and receiving ends have to be "in alignment" - or something- for perfect streaming to occur. it would sort of explain why problems occur in batches, between periods of no problems at all.

I can also confirm that, when the streaming freezes, the timer keeps counting, so that u lose a few seconds.
