I usually end up bragging when I am nervous and find myself trying to fit in. Not that I enjoy it, or even know that I'm doing it when it's happening. Just a gut response to not being very confident and self conscious.

Sometimes I say to myself, "Oh I'm good," but for the most part I'm not an arrogant POS.

Aren't resumes submitted for competitive jobs usually the epitome of bragging? I think humble resumes are often discarded in favor of the brags.

I don't mind when people brag all that much, but it gets annoying if it's done over-the-top and excessively.

It sucks that you hate when other people brag, but then you brag yourself too. I do it all the time.

Like there's nothing wrong with bragging? Sure it can be obnoxious but maybe those people had low self esteem at some point but finally gained the confidence they needed to exert themselves socially and are able to really be proud of themselves. Not a big deal, I like hearing people talk about their accomplishments because it's nice to see people happy about their efforts... unless it's like blatant/fake boasting but I mean honestly it doesn't bother me unless people are purposely bringing others down with their statements

It's ok to brag from time to time. It's good for confidence.

If it's relevant to a conversation, I'll say it without hyperbole.
And give no evidence.
