A slice-of-life story about an ordinary municipal worker living in Tokyo as portrayed in anime... Follow our protagonist as he goes through a typical workday covering Godzilla's footprints with fresh pavement, cleaning up after the latest magical girl battle, avoiding overly amorous tentacle monsters/aliens/catgirls, and getting home despite the bumper to bumper traffic due to yet another zombie outbreak - all so he can pay his bills on time and maybe unwind for a few hours in front of the TV.

Well, I want to explore in-depth the story of the Stanford prison experiments.

A detailed story of what went through the subjects' head, how they cope with the abuse. and the damage it caused afterwards. It would be so epic.

There's no gore. as it was a psychological human experiment. SO ya'll don't need to be saying, "I don't like gore" blah blah. It's an anime that's about how the human mind can break, and how it can cope with psychological stresses afterwards.

It won't be a happy ending. As all the subjects became psychological damaged after the experiment. There's no light at the tunnel for them. For them, life is about living in an eternal darkness that constantly consumes their lives on a day to day basis.

I wish more anime producers would write these types of stories, to be honest. Not calling myself creative or original. It's just something I want to see, instead of all these cheesy romcoms. :-/

Ok. May be long here.

So way back when, when I was much younger and was thinking "it would be awesome to write a book or a comic book" I had a few random ideas. One was weird, but interesting.

SETTING: (warning: it's fucking LOOOOOOOOOONG)

STORY:(equally a long ass piece)

OOog.. that took a long ass time to type.

As you can tell, I put a LOT of thought into this back then. Unfortunately, I got a LOT of writers block while trying to actually write out scenes and progress the story from point A to B to C,etc...

Still, I might go back and write it.

I'll post an idea or two from other stuff I had considered later today. An hour and a half typing that out is plenty enough for now.. lol

Our hero, in his mid twenties, loses his job that day. Without a steady paycheck he loses his apartment. He might have been able to live with a friend or a relative, but unfortunately he has none. After hearing how he is now unemployed and directionless his on and off again girlfriend dumps him. So he wanders the street at night a failure to society. One night as he is wandering the streets a man tails him to an alley way. The man pulls a gun up to our hero and says "According to this world's time line this is where your life ends! Failure to comply will mean repercussions to this world's time line. My apologizes but you are to come with me!" With that a portal opens up and our hero is forcefully taken through. Forever changing his destiny.

That actually sounds interesting I would want to watch/ read this

This would be really funny, sounds like perfect short/4koma material.

Nice ideas guys/girls, keep it up! This is a very interesting topic

And I'll toss one in too:

Setting:

Fantasy setting where everyone can use magic though it still shares some real world parallel of society. People utilize magic through the manipulation of innate and atmospheric units of energy known respectively as anima and aether.

Story:

Don't be shy. We all have different ideas, and not all of them are good. For example, here's mine:

Our main character is a delivery man who spends a lot of time in his van delivering packages. He is lonely and music seems to be what comforts him, encourages him, and frankly gets him through the day.

One day while on a delivery route he just disappears in his vehicle. He finds himself transported to the world from the song he was listening to on the radio "Princes of the Universe" by Queen. He hears the song in the background and sees before him the song being played out.

Men emblazoned in gold with crowns upon their heads are readying for battle against an oncoming horde of dark, evil beings (orcs, ogres, goblins, etc). They charge into battle crying, "We are immortal, we have inside us blood of kings!" He watches them battle and then, the song seems to fade away in the background. The song ends. In a flash, our hero is transported into a different song.

He finds himself in a backyard as a teenage boy is mowing grass, a teenage girl is swimming, and a very attractive older woman is sun bathing. He then starts to hear music playing, it's "Stacey's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne. Our hero doesn't know what happened, but now his life is defined by music. His entire world is now defined by the music on the radio. Where will it take him next?

Just a quick overview as I have to leave for the doctors, but:

The most influential protagonists from the harem animes assemble in one universe to compete to see who can claim the title of "Harold"; a prestigious title given only to those of whom are worthy enough to be classified as the best.

In this anime, characters don't have super-powers, nor do they battle to the death. The way to achieve the title of "Harold" is to convince the harem of the other protagonists to become a part of their harem.

Hmm sounds mildly similar to the Adam Sandler movie, "Bedtime Stories". It's an interesting concept, makes me wonder where it will take the MC.

Ok.. really quick one to make up for my insanely long one earlier.

So a guy is standing outside of a building that is hit with explosives. Crazy doctor tries to put him together frankenstein style from the body parts in the wreckage and then leaves him somewhere on the streets nearby without telling him much.

All's good and he even remembers who he once was.. Except now he's got two problems.

1. the treatment required some radioactive materials that have caused his body to continually grow body parts. (so he heals easily enough but every day or so he wakes up to find, say, that he's growing an extra hand on his back, or he's got an extra eye on the chest). The only way to deal with it is to cut off the extra parts as they grow. It's bloody and gory, like the torture scenes in Tokyo Ghoul, (and he really doesn't know if inside he's growing extra parts as well, like say, a second heart, or a third kidney).

2.The body parts he was sewn together are growing too, and something makes him think the voices in his head might be the minds of those other victims, and one just might be that of the mentally unstable bomber...

The story is about his struggle to stay sane and do some good as he struggles against other human experiments while trying to figure out what he can about the shadowy organization behind his new way of life and hopefully find a cure.

Maybe also along the way, you could have him also have the ability to stitch other people's organs and body parts to himself as well.

EDIT: ok, so mine aren't short. Oh well. Let's keep the thread going though.
