Ohayou!

This is my first post here, so apologies if I did something wrong. :P

I just finished up Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, really liked it..

Was just wondering if you fine folks had some other recommendations of good shojo, romance, slice-of-life type anime?

In particular, I was thinking that any series with a sort of reluctant romance, similar to the style of Seo/Wakamatsu from MG Nozaki-kun, would be awesome!!!

Stuff I've already seen:
- Toradora! (squee)
- Oreshura
- My Little Monster
- Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu
- Myself;Yourself
- School Days (I didn't really like this one)

... And some other stuff that I can't remember at the moment, but those are the memorable ones.

Any recommendations would be awesome!!

Nozaki-kun is Shonen though...

Have you tried Barakamon? One of the best SoL anime I've ever seen.

Oh is that so? Hmm, I didn't realize. I guess I just assumed that an anime about relationships and romance had to be shojo. Anyways, thanks for the rec of Barakamon, it's been added to my queue.

I've actually seen that! But I didn't realize that a second season was imminent, I'll keep an eye on it

YOU HAVE TO WATCH THESE: - if you loved Toradora you'll thoroughly enjoy these

Say I Love You - short series you'll love.

Clannad & Clannad After Story - you can send me thanks later. *tear jerker that makes Toradora's "I dont want that" scene look like a basket of puppies.

Spice & Wolf

Angel Beats - short series

Overall, I didn't like Angel Beats (a little too out there), but it definitely had some amazing moments.

Do you know if there's a way to watch Clannad online, or do I have to order discs? Not that I'm against it at this point, I've heard so many good things about this series.

Will definitely investigate the other ones too ^_^

yeeaahhh Angel Beats had a hard time figuring out what it wanted to be! I didn't think Clannad would live to the hype, I actually dreaded watching it. But after watching both it & after story, I was happy to be wrong. i loved Oreimo if you can see through the heroine's tsundere attitude.

To answer your question, you would have to illegally stream, pirate it, or buy the discs. Gosick is a somewhat cute mystery/romance anime. & if you want an anime that will blow you away with superb animation as well as a good story Nagi No Asukara is a great choice (slice of life romance)

Try Ookami shoujo to Kuro ouji. It's a shoujo-romance anime I recommend it.

my personal fav shoujo's. (this is recommendations from a non-shoujo fan..., so that's saying that these shows are ultra good to be able to make me like them...)

- Ouran High School Host Club (Shoujo/comedy)

- Baka to test (not really shoujo, but has a bit of romance, and it's REALLY funny...)

~Seitokai Yakuindomo* (Season 2)

It is a slice of life type. It's funny and a little "dirty(?)"
