Hey guys/gals, hope your all having a swell day!

So recently I have been thinking a lot about what I want to do with my life and future schooling. Also recently I have been getting this feeling like I just dont belong. I feel like where I live, a lot of the friends I have, etc isnt for me. All i want to do right now is move to another state and start a new life with a new job and new friends. Just something I have been thinking about here recently.

So what about you guys? Have you ever had this feeling before? If you have, have you ever acted on it and moved to start something new?

Actually, yes. Can't say I'm too happy with the south. Or the people in it.

Of course I have. I actually did move to California with an Aunt (She's like a second mother to me) , but something felt off, even though I didn't like Las Vegas. I lived over there for about a year, but I ended up moving back, because of personal reasons. I was 18 at the time, btw.

I felt the same all while growing up. I lived in an extremely small town. As such, there weren't ever a lot of people I could relate to. And my family was almost always having problems, so I avoided nearly everybody. Upon moving away to college I can honestly say that I've never been happier. I now go to a school meant for nerds like me, live in a place with far more possibilities, and have had a really large group of wonderful friends for the first time in my life. I also travel a lot now, especially to Southern California. It's been awesome thus far. ^-^

Im in the same situation! Very small town. Not a lot of people i can relate to and that like the same things i do. My moms side of the family is always having some sort of problem and i feel i just need a change.

I feel that way all the time.

I used to not feel that way back when I lived in SoCal because I had a friend who actually considered me a best friend. Of course he joined the military and got himself killed so that's over with.

I've had times like that. Not easy for sure.. I had a shallow, empty pointless life in western Canada for a year. Decided that I wasn't where I wanted to and returned back East for school.

I'm still not sure if I will end up somewhere I belong, however, I have a good group of new friends so I can deal with things for now.

I feel that way too. In my case I wan't to move to a different country not just state. I grew up in several different latin american countries. Because of all of that I feel very bored with plain normal American life. That's why I watch Anime, study Japanese, hope to travel to Japan sometime in the near future, etc... Also I hate the cold and yet for some reason I'm stuck in Minnesota :'(

I like Arizona but I don't want to live here for the rest of my life.
There's to do and the heat makes people cranky. If it were up to me I would live in Florida or South Texas.
Hell, someday I want to go back to my hometown in Mexico and retire there.
