ようこそ!

Welcome to our chat thread. This is just a casual and friendly space where you can talk about anything you want. And feel free to practice your Japanese, though that isn't mandatory. In fact, speak in any language you want! :D

Have fun!

Please excuse me for writing in English, I'm not as advanced as you guys are in Japanese Anyway I love what you did with this thread, Ditto-san! I especially like the picture you found!

Senpai: Good luck with your tests. 頑張ってね I'm sure you'll feel relieved and happy once they're over!

So anyway, today Nikon released the entires that passed the first round of their 2014-2015 photo contest. I feel like everyone passed this round: all my pictures and all of my dad's pictures passed. Anyway there are 3 rounds until the winners are decided in Summer 2015. I doubt I'll win because there are over 60,000 participants. But if you guys want to view the gallery, I put the link below. There are some really interesting pictures there and I'm surprised at how many Chinese and even Japanese people entered

I couldn't find a pic I liked to I practiced my Phtoshop-fu and put that together. It didn't take too long. I'm very glad you like it. :D

And English is perfectly fine in this thread too. :D

That was a bit of a challenge. Hopefully I didn't butcher the language too badly.

Thanks for wishing me luck everyone I'll definitely let you know if any of my pictures pass the second round in February! (There are really some amazing photographs in the contest so I doubt I have a chance of winning) anyway, senpai good luck with your tests! Let us know how you did once you receive your results!

Ditto-san: can you also edit in "Spanish" in this forum description, so if anyone wants to talk/chat in Spanish, they can speak with me! Also, thanks for creating this thread! So far it's a really fun thread! :)

Is anyone doing anything interesting for the weekend? Tonorrow, I have to go to the oral surgeon for a check up, and it's supposed to snow a lot here Right now, it's such a beautiful day out, it doesn't even look like snow is on the horizon!

I'm not a moderator, so I can't edit the thread description. But feel free to make any changes you want. I did, however, put an encouragement to speak any language in the first post.

How's your jaw doing? Not too painful? I know oral surgery can affect everyone differently, so I hope you don't have much pain. I know when my wisdom teeth were pulled, I quickly got tired of soft foods.

Nothing major planned here for the weekend. I'm glad we aren't going to get snow, and it should be nice weather. I have a lot to do around the house, so the weather will help. Maybe I'll even get some extra time to try some new recipes. :D

Going back to languages for a moment, what other languages does everybody speak? Obviously I know English and have been studying Japanese. I also know Italian and French, though they are pretty rusty at this point. What about everyone else?

That's right, I just wanted to ask you if its alright with you to edit in Spanish (and possibly any other languages) in the description because after all this is your thread

My jaw is much better than last week, it's still slightly sore and I still can't open my mouth really wide, but I guess that will straighten itself out with time. I'm glad to be able to eat normal foods since I am absolutely tired of eating nothing but soup, ice cream and pudding! Also my skin on my cheek is still tender when I touch it. I can't wait until it heals completely though!

And oh that sounds like fun! What do you like to cook? I'm a vegan so if you know any good vegan recipes please let me know!

That's cool you know French and Italian! I'm a high level intermediate Spanish speaker. 10 years of studying Spanish! And hmm sushi-san knows Mandarin Chinese and obviously senpai knows Polish but yeah what other languages does everyone know? It'll be interesting to find out!

Be grateful that you have snow... It never snows here.
La oveja Española.
That's good that you can eat normal foods now.
I learnt some German and French last year at school and Chinese and french when I was younger and I learnt some Russian and Spanish when I was bored but I can't understand them fluently.
