I doubt they'll get them back even if they pay the ransom. But if they think their life's are worth then they should consider doing something else to get them back since doing business with terrorists is always a bad thing to do.

Either way, Japan has a lose-lose situation. They will either lose the two citizens, or they''ll pay the ransom which would further fuel ISIS' cause...

Of course not... you should never give in to a terrorist's demands...

But... They may kill them then, do you think it's worth risking their life's?

You never negotiate with terrorists. Even is all they are asking for is 2 handfuls of dirt. Besides the terrorists do not really want to ransom anyone, its all about getting noticed by the public.

It doesn't matter what country they've taken people from, no one should give anything but DEATH to these people.

Yes. I may sound rude here... but those hostages are fully aware of the risks and danger involved in going over there. They signed up for it. It's not like they got abducted off the street and put into that situation. Even if my family were in that situation, my answer will still be the same. If you choose to do something risky, you have to be prepared for death.

Giving ISIL $200 million would end up killing a hell of a lot more than two people. I vehemently oppose Japan caving to their demands whether the hostages' lives are at risk or not. That doesn't mean Japan should do nothing, it just means that they absolutely should not give these scumbags $200 million.

They really shouldn't pay them, they're going to kill those two anyway.

I believe the ransoms should always be paid. I hate the american motto of 'dont negotiate with terrorists'
They are basically saying that the money is worth more than the people. Human life should always come first, who cares about a bit of money?

Don't pay the ransom. I believe the hostages are going to get executed either way.

They are two fucking random people. You really think japan really give a shit? They are not going to pay the ransom. Why the fuck is ISIL still alive?Nuke them or something. Let the people suffering end and just kill everyone bad in that fucking country already. Do we as human really give a single fuck? I mean we would maybe remember this at least for 4 hours then forget about those two people. We are only capable of showing empathy for a few hours until we stop caring.

Have the war against ISIL already start or are we playing the chicken game?

Paying the ransom will fund future ISIS attacks on others. I wish France, Italy and actually most of Europe would stop paying ransoms. They are responsible for any victims of attacks funded by that money. France might have funded its own terror attack if you think about it. 200 million could kill a lot more than two people. The only way out of this is praying for miracle that they could be freed.
