If you didn't know then Microsoft had a conference yesterday where they announced a new thing called windows hologram and HoloLens.

So what is HoloLens and windows hologram? Well, it's a screen that you attach to your head that allows you to see AR generated content infront of your eyes effectively making a illusion of that this is infact a hologram.

You can watch a video of how it works here http://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-hololens/en-us

And before anyone ways they copied Sony, nope they didn't since Sony's VR and Microsoft's HoloLens AR headset are two entirely diffrant technologies. But if you want HoloLens for gaming then there's just one game announced for it as of right now, and that game is Minecraft Hologram.

So, what do you think about all of this?

3D glasses are already stressful using them on movies. I would prefer to still have this hologram features without wearing anything. Like in the movie "Her."

Reminds me a lot of Psycho-Pass's holographic rooms & wardrobes. These will become implants one day. Then things will spiral out of control when people learn how to hack them and we get sight-jacked into committing horrible and atrocious crimes.

Haha ^, but I have to say this looks pretty nice. I'm kind of scared, but also excited to see how far Technology has come. And it's still going to get better.

I should probably have pointed out that this is currently for developers, content creators and people who "wants to help shape the future of Holograms"... But maybe someone makes something unresponsible with it. We can always dream of the stuff that this might give us!

The only thing that's really promising is the idea itself. I doubt Microsoft could pull it off and they should probably be worried about patent infringement from google if they ever take it to the market.

Very interesting indeed. But I feel like there are going to be many issues of the sensor or whatever detecting your movement. If they manage to iron out those bugs, I'll be quite amazed.

I wonder how long this has been in development.

Probably ever since the original kinect launched since it's being developed by the same team. And to my knowledge there hasn't been anything new from the kinect team in years. I'm not counting the one used in Xbox one since that one was outsourced to another company.
