The only thing that's really promising is the idea itself. I doubt Microsoft could pull it off and they should probably be worried about patent infringement from google if they ever take it to the market.

Nah, Google won't take them to court over this. Google seems to be aiming for a more a helpful and everyday essential product with Google glass since you avail to make calls, check for routs in Google maps in it and other stuff like that. Mean while Microsoft seems to be aiming more on entertainment and content creating with their headset.

Also, Google isn't the type of company that is actively suing other companies. But if they're going to sue anyone, then they should probably sue Sony's mobile devition since they're making a product called Sony SmartEyeGlass that's basically the same thing as the Google glass. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NYwbS7e9M0&ab_channel=SonyXperiaDev.

Btw, the VR headset I mentioned above was Sony PlayStation's Morpheus headset. Here's a video from that one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAF1aG5sQ20&ab_channel=sonyplaystation .

Daniel Suarez wrote two books about this kind of technology. I really like the books, give them a read. Goes over possibilities and uses. First one is called Deamon, second is Freedom.

3D glasses are already stressful using them on movies. I would prefer to still have this hologram features without wearing anything. Like in the movie "Her."

Was that even a good movie? Heard it was creepy.

Users in crunchyroll, or online people in general, are more creepier. Think about that.

If you didn't know then Microsoft had a conference yesterday where they announced a new thing called windows hologram and HoloLens.

So what is HoloLens and windows hologram? Well, it's a screen that you attach to your head that allows you to see AR generated content infront of your eyes effectively making a illusion of that this is infact a hologram.

You can watch a video of how it works here http://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-hololens/en-us

And before anyone ways they copied Sony, nope they didn't since Sony's VR and Microsoft's HoloLens AR headset are two entirely diffrant technologies. But if you want HoloLens for gaming then there's just one game announced for it as of right now, and that game is Minecraft Hologram.

So, what do you think about all of this?

Well judging myself with this, ill be trying to run through my walls or plain out running into crap. It looks neat, and I would love to see its applications for engineering and rocket sciences.

Just think about how everyone would be like if everyone were to wear one. Since only you can see your own holograms you display and not others (assuming), everyone is going to look hella stupid pointing fingers and moving them in midair or even staring at a wall (watching Netflix or something) to those that aren't wearing one.

They'll be like, "Dude, why are you staring at a whole?" or "What the hell are you waving your fingers in midair for?"

But I honestly think it'll be cool they actually come out, and even better, do a giveaway like what Google did with Glass.

Yup, that would be really neat. But the only problem is how is the glasses going to detect your cards? Are we going to replace all Yu-Gi-Oh! cards with QR codes or something similar, that's the only way I can see that working.

Can we not be eaten by strange black viruses when this comes out? I'd very much like to not get eaten by black viruses. Or get completely rekt by a Sachi.
