I have lucid dreams all the time. Usually i try and put myself in a harem situation, but i always wake up before anything happens.
Lucid dreams are pretty common for me, tbh. I can just tell, most of the time (not all), when im in a dream and when im not. Sadly for me though, once i start to realize lately i've been waking up before being able to run with it.

Here's my reality check strategy: I stare at my palmprints and attempt to create an eye within the black lines running across my hand. If an eye pops open in my hand, holy macaronial pyramid, I'm in a fucking dream. Sometimes I realize that I'm in a dream because I have abnormally great eyesight with a zoom mechanism.

I used to be really into it, but lately I've been too busy/lazy to even think about it. One day I want to make a dream computer: http://www.virtuescience.com/lucid-dream.html I'll use it to watch 5 star nonexistent anime that only I can watch.

The only problem with lucid dreaming, is that it blurs the line between reality and dreams ever so slightly each time. I've had plenty of times where i feel like im dreaming and i consider doing something retardedly reckless just because its a dream only to snap back to reality after a few moments.

Lucid dreaming is actually a lesson. Are dreams are trying to tell us that we have the power to transform our reality in the physical world ,just like we do in our dreams. It all comes down to the power of thought ,anything can become real if you just put your mind to it. Now it may not turn out like you imagined it ,but it will be real noun the less. Basically this world we live in is a illusion lucid dreaming is a way of helping to pierce the vale of this reality.

Apparently ingesting choline bitartrate before sleeping triggers lucid dreams.

I have lucid dreams A LOT...so much that I am getting irritated. I would be having a nice dream that seems pretty cool and then out of nowhere I am controlling everything and can't help but do something incredibly stupid because everything I think of even if I DON'T WANT IT happens. One time I had a lucid dream where I was really fat and had to roll on my side to get everywhere and I was in a candy land. It was pretty cool actually...but I am starting too lose touch with reality because of my dreams. They are way to realistic these days and it scares the crap outta me.

I've been trying to lucid dream for months. I kept a dream journal going for about a couple of weeks. Eventually though I just stopped all together because I mean I was tired as heck when I woke up and could never write correctly. That and I'd be woken up by distraction i.e. alarm clocks so I would forget my dream. Though now throughout the days I would remember parts of my dream based off what happened to me in real life.

I once had a lucid dream but it was not intentional. What I can remember is the girl I once had a crush on being in my dream.Being a hormonal teen I was thought let's make her naked. Which I did. Next well...you get where this is going. Before it happened though she turned into an ugly monster. I'm not sure if I was aware I was dreaming at the time.

I've had vivid dreams and the occasional sleep paralysis attack since I was a kid and ever since I started taking Nortriptyline (a tricyclic antidepressant) to help cut down on the amount of migraines I get, I've experienced more vivid dreams as well as lucid dreams on occasion (as well as more sleep paralysis incidents unfortunately). I never have complete control over the dreams though I do have some measure of influence over them, and I normally realize it's a dream just by the content of it. I've never bothered to try inducing a lucid dream on purpose since, while I do find them interesting, I seem to feel less rested on nights/days I have them. Though considering I deal with some degree of insomnia most days/nights it could just be an extension of that. *Shrugs*

As far as specific dreams go... I tend to forget a lot of them in a matter of minutes to hours, especially since I've never bothered to keep a dream journal, but there are a few that stand out. One that I can remember fairly easily had to do with checking out a farm with a real estate agent who was desperately trying to sell it to me when suddenly there was a zombie outbreak nearby. Despite this I remember being strangely calm as I watched them try to get past the gate while the realtor continued to try and sell me the farm as if nothing unusual was happening. I also remember arming myself with a Mag Lite-esque flashlight and a wrench, though I don't remember actually battling any zombies, haha.

I also tend to have dreams that switch between being vivid and lucid whenever I start to play Terraria for a couple of weeks in which I'm either mining certain types of ore or working on whatever my current project in the game is. This seems to mostly happen when I'm also having trouble sleeping/staying asleep in that I'll wake up partway through the dream, and think to myself "I'll just get a bit more ore," and go back to sleep and resume the dream. It's not uncommon for me to do this multiple times throughout the day/night.

I also can somewhat remember a lucid dream where I was in this skyscraper type building with an elevator that not only moved vertically, but horizontally and had maze-like qualities to it. I can remember that I was trying to meet someone who lived there at the request of some girl I met in the dream, but I can't remember who or why...

The last one I can remember right off hand took place in the house I grew up in where we had a dog house my dad built for the malamute we used to have. We had something of a bad habit of feeding the stray cats that lived around there who ended up more or less residing in and around the dog house, especially when they had kittens. Anyway, the dream took place at night during a heavy storm when I suddenly started hearing a bunch of noise coming from the dog house. I went outside to check only to find a snake attacking one of the kittens. Being something of a coward in real life I actually hesitated a bit before reaching in to try to pull the snake off of the kitten only for it to start biting me instead! After fighting with it for a bit I finally woke up only for my hand to hurt where the snake had bit me. Kinda weird how that works...

Then there's also a lot of dreams where I wake up and just have to ask myself, "what the hell was that about?" Unfortunately, those are the ones that I tend to forget almost immediately, which only adds to the confusion. I also, for some reason, take notice of specific colors and details in my dreams, especially the lucid dreams. Examples would be: odd (anime-esque) hair colors, the red of the realtor's jacket (zombie farm dream), the steampunk-esque design of different features in the skyscraper dream and so on.

Yeah, I really hate lucid dreaming for that reason. Wake up, walk to the bathroom, wash my face, repeat endlessly.

When I do have one, it's typically semi lucid. Like I have control of what happens but when I do something in my dream like run, I'll be running in place. Most of my lucid dreams are semi because I'm fully aware of my dreams but just whatever actions I do in my dreams that a normal human is not capable of doing, I'll be able to do it in my dream but it'll be like nothing was affected.

It's really annoying to realize you're still dreaming while writing about the dream you just had on your dream journal.
