No. I'm a lactic dreamer, meaning that as I sleep, I am transported to darydise; a world where whole milk flows fast and ice cold down the Monterrey mountains as cowadactyls swoop down to snatch swissmon from the the eddies in the milk. It is never above forty degrees in this land, but I keep warm by gobbling up naturally occurring hot brie springs.

I have lucid dreams sometimes. It started when I was on my grade school days. But recently I have a dream that I was walking in a very quiet lobby(which sometimes it always happens when I have nightmares-it tends always to be that place) . I remembered that I was running because I was too excited to go home but after I entered the gate I have to pass through that lobby and eventually my surroundings were very weird and I know that its going to be a nightmare. I had put it on my mind that if there's going something very weird on my dreams like my surroundings would be in a slow-motion and I cant even move fast then I knew it there's going to happened. Very bad. After that I tried to walk and there's this very strong force that pushes me. And man! I can even feel how strong the force was. I even hold on a bar for me to move forward and not be able to be pushed away. I tried to managed myself to stay calm and I even prayed. And when i started praying in my mind and asking God's guidance the force was even more stronger and It almost made me fall and tripped but then I tried to pray and shout my prayers and eventually my mouth was being pulled out and I hardly breathe and stayed calm. After few minutes it stopped. And Fuck! I knew those were demons who were calling me coz these past months I even forgot and didnt believe God anymore because I have been so much pain and trials that i cant even handle it anymore and when I woke up. I then thank and apologize God for neglecting him. <3

All the dreams I have are lucid dreams, though I don't know why. I'm fully aware I am dreaming and I have 100% control over myself in those dreams. They're never good dreams either. I dunno why.

When dreaming, I am often aware of it, but I still don't have any control of it. Rather, I become trapped in my own dream. One time I was in a Labyrinth and I wouldn't wake up until I escaped. That was a very long night..

A majority of the dreams I had before were definitely lucid. I had a range of dreams I had control in. From ones where disasterous things were happening, to dreams which made me happy being with me dearly beloved.

I have to say.. I miss them.. I hardly remember my dreams these days.

I can't have lucid dreams. Although maybe I've done it wrong. One of the times I realized I was dreaming was while having a nightmare. But instead of trying to change the dream I tried to wake myself up. I could feel the air on my open eyes, but I was still caught in the dream.

So it was a no go. :c

Some pretty interesting experiences. The false awakenings can be annoying but if you have a solid reality check habit then you tend to catch them.

When I started with Lucid Dreaming I also didn't have much control over them, but I could always wake myself up, can't imagine being trapped in a dream that must be annoying also!
If my dream turns bad or nightmare-ish, usually I could notice this by an intense feeling of dread - almost like a sound or vibration, I never have a problem waking my self up. Because I know I have an exit whenever I want, I try and 'beat' the nightmare. Or I will wake up and make a plan of how to beat it, then go back to sleep and if it comes again put my plan in action.

The person who dreamed about zombies on the farm, that reminded me of Plants vs Zombies haha.

And the dreamer who falls to sleep after playing Terraria, that sounds pretty cool! I had similar thing happen when I would read at night and fall asleep reading. I would continue reading in my dream and my mind would make up the story. It wasn't actually written in the book it just pops into my head in a similar format to a book lol. Was disappointing after waking up when I realise all the cool things I dreamt happened in the book was false!

It is very rare for me to remember my dreams, but there are three cases I can think of that might be considered lucid:

I remember once dreaming that I was at middle school, but then realizing that I don't go to middle school anymore, so I must be dreaming. Then I forced myself to wake up. It only lasted a couple of minutes, so I don't know if it counts as lucid.

Also; I've been having a recurring nightmare since I was about 6, in which I fall down a waterfall, and wake up in cold sweat. The thing is though, that I've gone through this so many times now that I become aware that it's a dream and force myself to wake up early.

And finally; About 10 years ago, I had this really vivid dream in which the doorbell rings in the middle of the night, so I get out of bed to answer it. When the door opens; a large man shoves me aside and forces his way in. Before I can say a word; a second man comes through the door and swings a fire axe at my right side. This HURT LIKE HELL and when I think about it, I can still feel the axe lodged between my ribs right now. Back in the dream, I fall to the ground with the axe in my side and see the feet of 1 or 2 more men walking past me before I black-out and wake up.

This is the only time I've ever felt pain in a dream, has anyone else ever had that?

I used to, back when i could get proper sleep. Could pretty much decide i was going to lucid dream and just do it. Don't know about the rest of you and this thing with forcing yourself to remember your dreams. The movie Inception kinda got it right about having something to remind you are dreaming. I called it my "trigger".

For me, it was a few triggers. But sadly i can only manage it if i have had a few cycles of rem sleep. As such my lucid dreams usually happen on the final rem cycle.

Which is why i don't lucid dream often anymore. I work 1am shift, and since i don't wake easily while lucid dreaming i tend to avoid it for work nights. Weekends are for anime and gaming, so i suppose many of you can see where i am hitting a bit of a wall here.

Now, astral projection. Once, maybe. Could have just been a really lucid dream.

We used to be caught out with that as young children, my siblings and I.

We'd dream that we had to take a leak at night time. Throw off the bed covers, get up go to the toilet. Feel the cool floor under our feet. See the white walls of the toilet, lift the lid, undies down, sit down and begin. That's when you really wake up and the bed is wet
