Invalid arguments versus pointless discussions.
Posted 1/23/15 , edited 1/23/15
Okay, if person A is taking about it why air is bad for us, and very methodically discussing the physics of mars, weather patterns, alien tourist traps, etc, etc., and person B says "WTF this is stupid" , person A goes on and on and on, then person B says ****, person A stops and complains they are incapable of having a civilized discussion and calls them retarded, calls the police, then goes on with graphs and charts and ranting about numbers on they've dredged up regarding mars.

Is is really so bad to lose such an argument with or without grace? Are you perfectly stoic and never lose your calm? If so *** me, this is not for you.

If people start to talk too long like that I typically dose off. It's not that I want to stop listening, it's just a natural thing. Am I stoic? Nah, I'm just lazy and eventually stop listening to people.

Pointless discussion or not, if it's not interesting, I'd rather be thinking about other things in my life.

Its a pointless conversation. Who gives 2 shits about mars or how air is bad for us. Anyone who does that much research into it is just trying to sound smart because they want to inflate their ego more. 'Civilized conversations' are pointless. They mean nothing, get nobody anywhere, and everyones own opinion on it doesnt need to be stated. I could go on and on about electronics and how it all works since thats my job, but i dont go around starting conversations about the god damn sun, moon, reverse gravitron machines or something stupid just to debate. I dont really talk about electronics for that matter either, pretty much only during my job to get the job done. When people ask me what i do, i just give them general vague answers since they wouldnt know what im talking about anyways. xD

No, not at all.

Is air bad for you?
Hold your breath, I give you about three minutes.

person B is a moron and if he has nothing logical to add to the to person A inquiries he should leave, instead of being a ass stinking up the place.

A inquiry into a fascinating topic such as mars should never be looked down on, it may indeed be a future spot for expansion for man kind.

I find those that do not give (2) shits to be the real problem with society. Ignorance leads to misunderstandings and the down fall of social well being.

Arguing on the internet should be stimulating and/or fun. It should be taken with a grain of salt and you should expect those sorts of responses. It's not meant to change the world or anything. It's just another outlet for human tomfuckery.

Unfortunately, the "news" now considers Tumblr and Huffington Post (who posts shit from tumblr and stupid cat videos) as legitimate news sources.

so.... We're fucked.

EDIT:

In case you didn't know...

That doesn't bother me. In fact you have it backwards. I'm not the one bothered by what someone says, I'm the one saying it. If it's invalid, it fucking is invalid, and I don't use those rather abundant memes (maybe I should )

Sometimes if you see that glimmer of hope in a person who has an outrageous argument but seems to come to it in a logical fashion, it's not a bad idea to go full-inception and give them the good ideas in a way that relates to their invalid terms.

Think of it as a kind of cynical duty that the cynic-at-heart can't help but perform. Stoics would give the fools the good ideas and never digress, Cynics digress any chance they get.

Memes are lazy, though. Good originality is the only thing that can defeat bad originality.

Look into Diogenes, the guy is like the original troll for humanity.

redundancy for emphasis.

Of you already do this, then why the post?

Also, I'm pissed off more about how the internet is taken in the real word. It's incredibly scary
