Saying "many crimes are committed by black and hispanic people" is not racist.

Seeing a group of black male teens/young adults walking around a corner wearing t-shirts and sagging pants is a perfectly good reason to get the hell out of there as fast as possible if you value your safety.

Here's some stats.

Midyear 2009 incarceration rates for inmates held in custody in prisons or jails differed by race and gender. Black males, with an incarceration rate of 4,749 inmates per 100,000 U.S. residents, were incarcerated at a rate more than six times higher than white males (708 inmates per 100,000 U.S. residents) and 2.6 times higher than Hispanic males (1,822 inmates per 100,000 U.S. residents). Black females (with an incarceration rate of 333 per 100,000) were more than two times as likely as Hispanic females (142 per 100,000) and over 3.6 times more likely than white females (91 per 100,000) to have been in prison or jail on June 30, 2009.

If you've gone to jail, you've done something pretty serious.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with saying "a majority of violent crime is committed by blacks". That is neither stereotyping nor racist. You are not branding an entire race under a generalization.

The fact is Whites use more drugs, but blacks are imprisoned more for it. Logic like yours fail because their is inherent biased that make the original statistics.

Indeed I read it.

And If you read everything including the comments, you would have realized that most drug arrests are not for usage, but for distribution.

Unfortunately that's statistic is too true...Does it become racist to admit it is true though?

When speaking with my African friends they don't like being called black at all. They rather be called African. They believe it's disrespectful no matter where you are.

I don't believe that's racism. That's a statement that stereotypes blacks based on a statistic that person read that may or may not have been stretched.
