Probably only a marginal portion of the population, but yes, they exist in small numbers there.
Muslim is a relgion, it's not necessarily race based. There are non Arabic muslims.
There's a girl at my school- she seems to be white, but she identifies as Muslim and wears a head covering.

There's something really funny about you needing to post about the japanese hostage in an Anime forum lmao

It's General Discussion though. It's world news.

Yeah i meant that it's funny that you choose the japanese guy to make news out of it SINCE it's an Anime website, i didn't mean that you shouldn't post it cause it has nothing to do with animes, i kinda meant the opposite

This is awful and I am praying for the families of those who are suffering.

I've seen a lot of comments on here about missionaries and humanitarian efforts not being worth doing in these areas out of fear. I disagree. By avoiding these areas for missions work and humanitarian efforts we as individuals are claiming their lives are worth less than those in safer areas. For the religious types this is outlandish because the souls of everyone are considered equally valuable to God (if you're a Christian who truly believes in the Bible). For those who are there for humanitarian motives to help heal the injured, why would the people under the thumb of ISIS be worth less than those in other nations. Yes, it's safer there, but there is a greater need...

I heard of a mission called Preemptive Love that is working in Iraq even though ISIS has severely encroached on territory they once could operate in. They do heart surgery for children that need it, so that someday they will grow up and know that someone over here cared enough to save their life when it wasn't easy.

I got an Idea, lets get the others who live in the country to turn on them and fight them tooth and nail.
How you ask. Pull off are gloves and tell them we are tired of the murders actions, and we will drop nukes everywhere we think ISIS is. So unless you want us to drop the bombs.. get off your asses and deal with your criminal factions.

I know its a crazy idea.. But crazy sometime works.

Its time ISIS learns why America was deemed the sleeping giant from Japan.

Yeah of course there are. There are Muslim Asians.

I acutely googled after I posted. There is a very tiny muslim native population and only 2 mosques in the whole country

There is actually 70,000 Muslims in Japan which is actually not too bad and I think there are more mosques at least from what Wikipedia says.

If ISIS wanted to attack Japan, they'd first have to go through China or Russia or Both, no way in hell that is happening.

Unfortunately this was going to happen the moment they were captured.
I dont understand why anyone goes to these countries. They go to places controlled by ISIS and are then surprised when they get attacked.
My thoughts go out to his family, however I cant understand why no one talked them out of going there in the first place?

We really need to negotiate with ISIS ...well, with their corpses. They killed some kids awhile back for cheering for their soccer team - still haven't figured out what verse in the Quran sports violates.

Can we stop? with the scandalous news plague every single hour of every single day?
It's depressing that a couple of people attract attention on this level when this kind of stuff happens to THOUSANDS everyday.

That's besides my point. You can indeed post whatever the fuck you want, that doesn't stop me from letting you know what I think of it either.
The fact that you people drool over every little overblown scandal that the news stuff up your ass makes me sick.
