I am 100% in favor of self driving cars.

They already have some out that parks the car for you, and there's been a fair share of complaints where the AI just fucks up and bumps into shit while parking itself so you better look for a shorter term solution lol, i am really not a fan of driving and couldn't give two shits about cars, but over the years you realize that a lot of it is mental, because the technique part is just grinding hours behind the wheel, there's no other way, unless you're one of those weird geniuses that borns learning how to play the piano or some shit, it's all about your mental state, and confidence is very important, i think traffic is like an organism and the cars/bikes/etc are the cells, so you just gotta behave accordingly, by that i mean, don't be too slow or too fast or try to make a turn on the last minute cause you'll be the weird cell in the organism, the more predictable and clear your intentions are the better, and don't be a pushover, cause people take advantage of that, even pedestrians.

I've more than likely been in more wrecks than you all.

Thankfully most were on a race track.

Just remember, rubbin' is racin' and tradin' paint is fun.

Do NOT try that on the interstate though.

I always refer to myself as below average so I don't run the risk of getting complacent.

I don't trust myself... that's why I don't drive any more. I have Panic Disorder if I have to go above 60km/h.

It's not a nice feeling, to be honest. I get intense bouts of fear and I just want to stop.

I have something similar, I get frustrated and irritable if I go under 88km/h

Not sure how I'd fair in different weather like the north has, but as far as the Southeast is concerned I'm well above average. I'm not worried about my driving. It's the idiots around who are easily distracted and don't pay attention that I'm concerned about. Spent plenty of time on the local track so I know plenty about being a defensive driver. You can only do so much against stupid people though...

Of course I am. Everybody else on the road is an idiot.

No, really, this is my creed on the road. Everyone else is an idiot. Expect them to do something completely asinine, utterly illogical, tragically stupid, or downright suicidal at any moment. The only person who can save you from such dumbfuckery is you, and maybe the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

If an average driver is 5/10, I'm probably a 7/10. I'm blessed with good reflexes, an understanding that continuously grows as I get used to each particular vehicle, and, usually, decent judgment on the road. Each vehicle has its own feel and I'm very quick to pick up on that to adapt quickly. However, this is only for the actual act of operating the vehicle and maintaining appropriate control. If the average navigator is 5/10, I'm a 1/10 there. As long as I have a GPS and the AC works, I'm golden.
