For instant coffee, my favorite is a Japanese brand called Maxim. It's pretty good for an instant.

My favorite bean coffee is Death Wish. You can buy it online and it's not that expensive. It has a pretty rich flavor and tons of caffeine. I have to grind the beans with my grandma's mortar and pestle since I don't have a bean grinder but it works out okay since I use a French press, anyway, and that uses a coarse grind.

Whenever I go to a cafe I usually get mocha coffee, or a blue mountain blend if I'm feeling pretentious and fancy.

I always thought Maxim was a Korean company, I get them too for quick coffee.

My preferred brand is Temple coffee, as they know how to roast a nice variety of beans/berries. Sometimes Old Soul as well, if I want something different. Usually Japanese drip method or vacuum pot.

There is a Korean Maxim, an American Maxim, and a Japanese Maxim. Pretty confusing, haha. And they all make instant coffee but are separate. This is what I usually drink. http://shopcoffeebeans.com/japan

Japanese coffees are pretty good. I also like some of the Taiwanese coffees that they grow in similar conditions that are used for growing tea. I forget the name but I always have some whenever I visit home.
