Does Crunchyroll plan on adding more American cartoons in the future? If so I'm super excited! Would Adventure Time and Steven Universe be possible? I'd imagine a number of people would be excited if Adventure Time was accessible in its entirety at a manageable price point legally! Would Disney cartoons be possible? There's a lot of American cartoons which are difficult to access cheaply in Canada (unless you count random episodes in reruns).

Wow that is a horrible choice

Reminds me of the fear people had when you got bought out that you would lose your identity and just become another streaming site

Can't wait till you get Family Guy

What a strange choice. I wish you guys focus in Japanese Anime instead. Also this show is available for free in their official site. I try to be an open minded person but I never understood what kind of person would enjoy watching cartoon animals getting tortured and mutilated for the sake of it.

Are we being trolled here? Seriously, why HTF? It isn't even "Anime", and I thought that this page was dedicated to it and Dramas.

Please don't start getting into the habit of adding American cartoons. There are already tons of legal places to watch them, and you should be using that licensing money to bring more Anime that is not available legally. Still waiting on more classics to be added such as Hime-chan no Ribbon and Miracle Girls.

Just read about the Cinedigm package deal. Good to know that it wasn't just a spur of the moment type of license.

Like someone else mentioned earlier, it's very likely that this title was just a freebie (or extremely low-cost throw-in) from Cinedigm, which is where they got Zatch Bell!, Saint Seiya, and Mononoke from.

CR has said several times during their panels, they don't 'spend' their licensing money exclusively on shows like these; often times there are package deals from these publishers that get thrown in (hey you want Zatch Bell, Monoke, and Saint Seiya? Great, we'll give it to you but only if you take it with Happy Tree Friends).

^You posted a bit too late. Already acknowledged it being a package deal from Cinedigm.

I'm rather unpleasantly surprised with this news. Don't get me wrong: I'm certainly all for Crunchyroll providing a variety of content for its users whether it be anime, drama, tokusatsu, or even cartoons from countries other than Japan (such as the American anime-inspired RWBY, which I personally love) but... this? I'm wondering what the logic behind this is. Whatever the reason, I personally don't see it fitting on an anime-centered streaming service. Now, if another "channel" for content centered around animation not made in or inspired by Japan was made by Crunchyroll, then I'd say "Welcome," despite my strong dislike for this show.
